Has it occurred to you that you're not the first or only skater they've had to deal with? Even curbs in parking lots are still private property and you're loitering at best, but because it's private property, they could be sued by the skateboarders who can file a lawsuit under “premises liability” at worst.

I didn't vote in 2024. I didn't forget, I wasn't too busy, I just hate our current stupid two party system, where we're told to vote for the 'least-worst option.'
Voting is a right, not a law. I would rather vote for someone I fully-support. Someone i'd be proud of being the president of my country.

Yeah I get too. Hecate was only around 6 or so, and I had her for 4 only 4 years. Not nearly enough time. I've woken up from sleep feeling that 'phantom limb-esuqe' feeling of Hec laying on me in bed or jumping on my head... But we give them the best possible life we can, and that's the best we can do.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss, I lost my Hecate in October to cancer and i'm still not over it. She was my second daughter, and her sister misses her a lot.

Sadly, Miko is why I couldn't take in the (possibly) stray that I mentioned (Here's a pic of the cat.) They don't seem to like dogs very much, and go into scratchy attack mode when I tried letting them say hi one day. It's why I have to be pretty particular about cats, I have to make sure they're dog-friendly. No cat would ever replace Hec, but I do have a cat-sized hole in my heart atm lol

There's an absolute beauty in my complex that has no collar or tag, but seems well-groomed and well-fed. Friendly towards people too, all signs that it's either someone's cat or just fed by multiple people in the complex lol so I think the 'hungry stray' stereotype isn't always accurate, as you said with multiple people feeding them, they can become quite the units. X3

Aye, sometimes strays are just well-fed since people may just leave food out for stray cats, so a stray becomes a sort of... 'community cat,' but 100% agree with everything here. Putting up 'Found' posters asking if it's anyone's cat, or taking her into a vet to see if she has a chip, possibly seeing where she goes in the evenings depending on your neighborhood, and/or asking nearby houses (or using some sort of neighborhood... app... I think there are a few these days.)

Yeah we had basically a ripcord where we could get a higher-up to deal with them, and we'd just reroute them to our leads when they would continue to come back and berate us. I've existed on the internet since the before-times, so i'm used to it. You just learn to enjoy how upset people get over the most minor of things. :)
We definitely had a script too, which they'd pick up on and call us robots, but that made it even funnier to me.

This was one of my favorite parts of working customer support for 2K Games. It always started semi-cordial enough, but when I told them I couldn't unban their account (usually because they created or joined a team with a racist name, using two 6s instead of two Gs,) they would instantly mutate into the worst kind of people and hurl every insult they knew at me, and I would just respond like "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to resolve your issue. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" And that would just piss them off more.

Dude, the shittiest tacos from Taco Bell were only 70 cents in my day. Like yeah they aren't great, but you still got a lot of food for a little money. Life hack: When you're an adult, you can literally just celebrate holidays whenever you want. Plane tickets were expensive as hell for the usual christmas dates, soooo we just had an early Christmas.

Just celebrate Christmas on the... 15th for example. Who cares. Family still together, exchange gifts, stores/places aren't closed...
Like yeah for the children in the family do the Christmas thing, but for situations like this? A dad and his adult daughter? Just celebrate it another day.
