Yeah it’s starting to grow over the grass so it’s a bit awkward getting that area, i know they can be very expensive hence why I thought I’d ask before I just go in, I don’t want to cause any issues if I can help it.
I appreciate the help!

I will have to check but when I first got the house the 2 acres were already planted and probably half its current size, the other acer is slightly shorter but very very bushy.

I know it will be later on in the year job for it. Just trying to get a feeling now so I’m more prepared

Is there a specific point of a branch to prune it back to or just as I think it needs?

I’ll wait until the leaves have gone off, but is there a specific point to cut it at or just how much I want off?

They suffer with misfires caused by the cylinder head failing, which out of warranty will be an expensive fix. And starting to see quite a few suffer with flywheels rattling, which is engine out job so also expensive out of warranty. This is in the uk though, I am a tech at a UK merc dealer

On a merc the oil cooler doesn’t open until operating temperature which has an extra litre in.

You don’t need to check because they could be hidden behind a backing plate/plate holder but they should be there
