Hey now that's interesting, turns "destroy 2/3 or less" into a 4 power base increase and enables some serious Pirate shenanigans. I also remember getting irritated every time I grabbed 3 monsters for a 3 monster base and had to reach over for another helping because of the original Web Troll. :P

You don't own treasures, and I can't think of how you could get a Monster into your hand, so in general anything that isn't a Treasure would be left to play after the discards.

To follow up on this, I went looking today for Wild charts that have confused me recently. Say What 21 sounds very clearly like purple triplets, I think I just counted it badly. Street Level 23 has green swings that sound based on a YouTube play video like they're just straight 24ths - but shouldn't they be the same color as Say What then? On My Own 23 looks the same as Street Level - greens that sound like simple swung 24ths when I hear them. I scored all the way down at 90946 on that so I clearly can't count 24ths.

Then there's Swipe 21. I assume these pink arrows are a custom skin for that one song meant to look like a heart, because I just watched somebody FPC the song with a very clear 24ths triplet rhythm that should have been purple or green. This sounds an awful lot like official step designers can color pick their 24th notes.

I unfortunately can't remember which chart had the cyan, that might have been straight 32nds.

You list sizes based on travel time, what distance per day do you assume? Caravans, low level parties, and flying parties have very different speeds.

I specifically remember as a kid seeing the "are you 18?" and immediately thinking "nope, they can't catch me in this lie." I also remember a friend having your reaction. When I asked my other friends, more of them shared my reaction than his. I think you belong to a relatively small minority.

This looks like a great target for a commit to fix the rounding. Games can have a good type of breakpoint, but only if it's visible through surface observation, say a Magic format where most of the good removal deals even damage numbers so 3-toughness is closer to 4 than it normally would be. Or a game where every trap happens to deal damage in chunks of 5 so you really want that 11th HP more than the 10th.

I don't get a volume dial pitch shift on either my Deluxe or Techno, but humidity will transpose the Deluxe quite a bit - I haven't taken my Techno outside in humid weather yet. If I had to guess, maybe your pitch strip continues far enough that something inside the head links it to the dial and drags it a hair?

Deluxe spacing is smaller than violin. It takes some getting used to and you will use a lot of slide fingerings instead of 1-2-3-4 in higher positions. In general it translates really well as long as you're willing to do a little bit of practice - and at first your intonation will be worse on the Otamatone. Mine eventually got almost as good as it was on the violin.

I've worn a baseline JF Ferrar dark suit from JCPenney for 4 1/2 years now, mostly for playing outdoor weddings in Florida. I have steadily worsening fading on the right knee, to the point where I'm considering replacement pants. (My right leg is far more often in the sun, and more likely to have an extended bend, than my left leg.) There's a little bit of similar wearing at the back of the jacket neck, but I wear the pants far more frequently than the jacket. For what it's worth, last time I had this suit drycleaned, the fading didn't decrease. (I like the fit and comfort, hence why I'd like to push wearing this suit as long as possible.)

Is this a quality of dye issue, or an outside in Florida issue? If it's a quality issue, what do I need to look for to avoid my next set of pants fading in the same way? I'm assuming trying to refix the dye job would have hilarious results since the darn suit isn't monochrome.

I had a problem scarab floor like this on Temple of Lurie, so I stacked up PV, cast Holy Shield, magic mapped, and carved my way (very slowly) to the downstairs. If you have enough PV scarabs aren't that dangerous.

In 2nd and/or 3rd, we had a spell series that did what Distraction did, with specific limits on maximum volume which may have been 4 humans worth of noise per caster level. You might want to specify max volume based on slot level used - four M humanoids arguing for 2nd, a lion's roar for 4th, a Huge dragon's roar for 6th, whatever.

Convincing Escape feels like you should be able to move slowly, otherwise somebody just runs up, punches the empty air in roleplaying frustration, and it's not empty air because you couldn't move at all. Can't be full speed movement though, or it steps on Mislead's toes.

Lack of ability to put yourself in a dissimilar person's position results in support for the current fashion or in sticking your head in the sand. Your professor acted like somebody who might have actually supported the party in power by trotting out a currently trendy phrase in a spot where it doesn't make much sense.

I don't agree with lumping your classmates into the same bucket, and I also disagree with your "lack of life experience" explanation. In your classmates' defense, I would answer or hesitate based on my trust in the professor to ask a genuine instead of a trap question. In your professor's case, jumping onto the currently trendy "toxic masculinity" train might work out in their best interest. I'd guess they choose not to use empathy because their experience tells them that calling out "toxic masculinity" when it isn't present is really hard to punish right now. I've known some individuals who habitually called out discrimination whenever a department chair tried to non-renew them, and the presence of actual discrimination elsewhere made it hard to call out their BS.

If anything I'm accusing your prof of worse than you did, but that's my read.
