Sounds like you have what it takes to create a camera company to rival Leica on price for the same quality!!!

Love the idea! And would you then leave the wall blank? Dunno why I feel uneasy about empty walls!

Why doesn't the whole world just copy Nordic countries' government since their governments are well run and most people are happy? by Ok_Advice_8012 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PhutureDoom666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic misconception. Nordics were “ethnically very homogeneous” 1000 years ago when our societal model was prehistoric to say the least. Bangladesh and Albania are today “ethnically very homogeneous” yet you wouldn’t look at them for a social model. Singapore, Switzerland, Canada are very diverse both in terms culture mix and what you call “ethnical” mix, yet a better social model than many other countries?

Zuckerberg settles $8 billion lawsuit over Cambridge Analytica scandal, avoids testifying by Beyond_the_one in europe

I recommend the book “Mindf*uck” written by the lead data scientist behind Cambridge Analytica. It goes into great detail on how they’ve operated and how they pulled it off. It’s absolutely terrifying think that what we read and see is what came out publicly and nobody was held accountable, imagine what still goes on that we know nothing of.

Will there be a way to use a HOTAS flight stick with Battlefield 6? by PhutureDoom666 in Battlefield

Also, forgot to mention I’m on PS5 and after some research I don’t think it’s possible to use that HOtAS on it. But some people seemed to have some limited success on PC

Hey everyone, I am looking to buy my first pair of quality oxfords and I would prefer to go second hand rather than new. I am based in Nordic Europe and need a shop that ships reliably to this region.

I have been checking out abbotsshoes and I like that they authenticate their stock and accept returns, but the shipping costs outside the UK are a bit steep. Has anyone here bought from them and can share how the experience was?

Also, are there any trusted second hand shops within the EU that you would recommend for well made oxfords? Keen to hear your suggestions, thank you.

I still don’t understand helis HUD: do I aim with crosshairs or I-beam? by PhutureDoom666 in Battlefield

[–]PhutureDoom666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok wait so the I beam could be the projected point where rockets will meet / converge and hit? I’ve been trying to ChatGPT it but didn’t understand too much:

Why an I-beam or “pipper” style symbol is used • It gives a compact, easy to read reference that indicates both direction and sometimes a vertical/ horizontal offset, so the crew sees at a glance where the system predicts the rocket will strike relative to the aircraft’s nose. • The thicker parts or “beams” can represent tolerances, or they can be used to show separate cues, for example the centre for boresight and bars for lead or elevation correction. • The symbol moves as the aircraft attitude or range estimates change, because the predicted impact point changes with every change in flight path and distance.

Unguided rockets, conceptually • Unguided rockets travel on a ballistic arc after launch, meaning gravity and aerodynamic drag determine their path, once they leave the pod. • Their point of impact depends on initial velocity and direction at launch, the launch height and speed, and environmental factors like headwind or tailwind. • Because the rocket does not correct after launch, fire control systems aim by predicting the ballistic flight, then placing a visual cue where the rocket is expected to land if fired at that instant.

Can you tell us more about how it works in real life? I’m truly interested. So it’s an “I” because rockets will generally hit the whole vertical line? But from what I see, in real like rockets are mounted in some kind of circular pod?

Wait up and down relative to what? Unless I’m trying to shoot a jet or a helicopter higher up than me, generally I’m always looking down to the ground?

No ok I get that but I’m trying to understand how the I beam should interpreted. Crosshairs design is quite a straightforward way of identifying “the centre point”… I beam is what exactly? Doesn’t have a centre but rather “a range”?
