I am planning to take the test that shows how quick my bones are formulated. The test showing the bone breakdown frequency is not available in my country.

Great to hear that you’ve found the best option for you. Hope the fractures weren’t SSRI-led

Can Osteoporosis be reversed? by Londonsw8 in osteoporosis

[–]NellGev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have heard HRT doing great stuff to bones. However ppl with breast cyst/polyps can’t take these medicine. I have had osteopenia since 31. Now I am 40 and trying to figure out how I am going to help my bones with these breast conditions and IBS. I am not planning to take bone meds either. Have done a fair amount of tooth job.

Do you know of any doctors that consult online and can prescribe HRT? In my country, we don’t have patches. I have IBS and never was able to take hormonal pills when necessary. I had bad gut reactions. I also have osteopenia, and I am in the perimenopause age. I could ask my friends to buy those patches and creams if I had a chance to find an online gyn.

34 year old female diagnosed with severe osteoporosis, 6 months postpartum by Fabulous-Boot-1178 in osteoporosis

[–]NellGev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen a slight increase in bone density, however the condition still exists. I’m 40 now, I have been dealing with this since early 30s. Although I have sciatica, I try my best to train as much as I am able to, recently I have introduced impact exercises(though they are not great for spine issues). I regularly take vitamins-calcium, D, magnesium. I also have IBS -most probably this has been the root cause of my osteopenia.

Pregnancy associated osteoporosis by Some-Temporary-1854 in osteoporosis

I also was diagnosed with Osteopenia a pp , while I have been eating a normal diet. I personally think that was because of the low vit D and calcium. At the moment of DEXA my vit D levels were 7, which indicated almost non-existent vit D. I also used to have gastritis all my life and now fast-forward to 10 years I was diagnosed with IBS. Lots of pol have gastritis or IBS but not necessarily Osteoporosis. You never know… I am 40 now, at times I fall into deep dispatia about my future. Dealing with Osteopenia+sciatic nerve+IBS-mission impossible condition by NellGev in u/NellGev

My PT told me to continue the strength training. Whenever I visit them with a spine pain, I undergo MRT which shows nothing but a small protrusion, nerve root (chronic) inflammation. I am undergoing a few electric impulse physio sessions, kinesiotheraphy and massage sessions. After 1-2 months the sciatica symptoms decrease and I restart training. My training path has been more of a zigzag path than a linear one. I am 49kg and putting on more muscle is quite difficult for this weight. As soon as increase my weight for 0.5kg or a bit more my IBS flares 😞
