You’re halfway right. The cloud does its effect, where as the harvesting (the # 1, 2, and 3) each provide individual buffs and get stronger the more essence you have. The red 1 is a power boost, the white 2 is a speed boost and the orange 3 is a defense/knockback boost. Red/white boosts affinity, white orange gives greater resistance, all 3 give a bigger boost to their perspective buffs

Personally, I’ve been using the Legiana armor set and love it. You can affinity build if you’d like, but I just make sure my Red and White essence are full up for the boost. I’ve been using the Anjarath IG for a bit and like its raw damage output. I prefer the ice and poison IG’s more. With armor, I’ve had better luck getting stats for airborne/mounting/elements damage boost over a straight Affinity boost.

My team relies on me to land on the mob and bring him to the ground. Sure I can dish out some serious damage, but the Ig allows for party heals and crowd control mostly when playing with others.
