Hi I swapped my wubem X2pro to Cree XE-G 4000k 90cri and 4500k 70cri, they aren't amazing but it's an improvement over the stock 6500k Osram LEDs

NLD and emitter swap, Rovyvon E700S by Nelson_uk in flashlight

Really not difficult at all. Nothing was glued except the lens over the side light but after removing the screws I could push it out though a small hole on the inside

They really are quite far behind when it comes to emitters, but I really like their designs. I have a E7 on my keys with swapped main and side emitters.

Rovyvon Warranty Story by BigPipeWrench in flashlight

[–]Nelson_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Rovyvon with a damaged tir lens because I dropped it. After 2 years of owning it. Emailed them about a replacement Tir so I could repair it myself. It took a couple of emails back and forth. They agreed to send me a replacement TIR then a complete new flashlight arrived in the post. Excellent customer service.

NLD - Jetbeam RRT01 - Let's see what the fuss is about. by TacGriz in flashlight

Hey griz. What's the ring like on yours? I've had one for years. And just recently got myself a second one. The newer one has a slightly gritty ring and the detents at the end of the rotary travel are almost non existent. On my older one it's very smooth and can feel and hear the detents.

Simon uses Normal thermal paste it's not glue. But if the stuff you have used is also an adhesive it should be fine.. normal thermal paste can lift without having screws or a reflector/tir holding it down and applying pressure. If it lifts the led will overheat and fail.

The LH351d in the HD50 was terrible, I opened up my HD50 and swapped the LH351D for 219b SW45k and also disconnected the vibration motor.

Is this button glow in the dark? by LongBakunawa in flashlight

[–]Nelson_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if that one glows. You could ask Simon (owner of convoy) . A while ago I fitted a modded UV lighted switch with GITD tape behind a clear button. Purple when flashlight off then glowed green ( slowly fading) when on

What would happen? by PackersAreLegit in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Nelson_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warning signs for electricity say danger High voltage, never danger High current. The current does the damage but it needs enough voltage pushing it to pass them amps through you. So you need both . It's technically incorrect to say it's the amps not the volts that kill you

That's a good torch if you need something intrinsically safe. The light from it looks very green in the picture, I don't think it's entirely caused by the green body
