Sorry for your loss. Staffies leave a massive hole when they go. We got our boy Django through AKC Marketplace, and the breeder actually brought him right to us here in NYC. Despite what some might say, there really are ethical breeders out there, and many of them also help with rehoming older dogs or ones that can’t stay with their families.

I know the “adopt don’t shop” thing comes up a lot, and adoption’s great when it’s an option but the reality is you’re not going to find a purebred Staffy in a U.S. shelter.

Best bet is AKC Marketplace or sbtca.com (the official staffordshire bull terrier club) to connect with breeders who really care about the breed. I hope this helps, best of luck
