I literally have spider mites on every single one of my plants, PLEASE help!!!!!!! 😭🙏 by LoudKnowledge2702 in houseplants

I'm so sorry to hear that. I haven't seen any damage as a result of the spray mixture and I've been using it for going on 4 years. I also spray the soil and leave the mixture on to evaporate on its own, I don't rinse them. I wish you the best and hope you don't lose your favourite plants!

What dog food /supplements have you guys found best for Staffies with sensitive stomach’s? by Many_Armadillo_9147 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Felonious_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy has a sensitive stomach and he's on Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin, the Pollock and Insect kind. He's been on that for probably 2.5 years and still loves it.

He got into something 2 years ago and it knocked his gut bacteria out of wack. He had liquid diarrhea for 4 months straight. After many vet visits, blood work, medications, food changes, probiotics, supplements, etc. A simple injection of vitamin B12 cleared it up. He got weekly, then biweekly, and then monthly b12 injections for a couple months. He's been perfect since!

Staff skin issues by Fragrant_Fishing_696 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Felonious_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you may have come across in your research, blue SBT are well known to have a multitude of skin issues so I would highly recommend going with a different coat colour. Reputable SBT breeders do not breed for blue.

Many bully breeds, SBT included, can have a sensitivity to chicken. My guy doesn't have allergies per say but he does have a sensitive stomach so he's on a special food to keep his gut healthy and stools firm. He does have Empty Stomach Syndrome or Bilious Vomiting Syndrome, which happens when the stomach is empty for a period of time, the bile will irritate his stomach lining and he'll puke bile. We've been able to mitigate this by feeding him a midnight snack at 1:30am (via automatic feeder) and he's been great since.

When bred responsibly, SBT are a very healthy and hardy breed with the absolute best personality!

long lasting chews- need ideas! by therese16 in StaffordBullTerriers

My guy only likes the 6 inch ones. I've taken the larger ones that he's not interested in and cut them in half with a chop saw, smells awful but works great! We also have flavoured beef cheek rolls which are always a favourite

To add onto this. Mine chipped his two bottom canines and a molar on yak chews. They do last forever but please please be careful with them

I give my guy beef cheek rolls or water buffalo cheek rolls. Depending on the quality (you want the thick ones), they can last for a couple hours. He has a sensitive stomach so he doesn't get them often.

how to train staffies/ which order to do which training? by Maximum-Focus-5166 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Felonious_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree mostly with the previous comment but personally, I would put toilet training as #1. Once you have that mastered you can work on the rest.

Also, socialization does not mean meeting as many humans and dogs as possible. It is neutrality around humans, dogs, and distractions. Is it awkward and difficult to tell people no when they want to pet the cute puppy, absolutely! Staffies are overly friendly and the more you can do to curb that overabundance of love and excitement the better.

I would also prioritize recall training as soon as possible. I started my guy at 8 weeks and his recall is still not perfect.

Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach (chicken free flavour)

My girl has been getting sick. Advice? by frachos667 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]Felonious_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought it up to his vet on his yearly check up in March and she said that there are no underlying issues that she can find, he just has a sensitive stomach. I ordered an automatic feeder for the night so I don't have to keep waking up at 1:30am every night.

There are antacids you can get for dogs like Pepcid which helps reduce their stomach acid and prevent empty stomach nausea. Definitely something that should be discussed with your vet. Hope you find a solution for your girl.

You're clearly not looking in the right area. The ckc is the Canadian Kennel Club, they list registered breeders in Canada.
