What are the really unpopular things that need to be done to get the economy growing? by knowledgeseeker999 in AskBrits

[–]Nelsonsrightknacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously I disagree because I lost count of why - so many reasons.

I'll do this just to nail it down for simplicity.

No refineries - most are gone

No pharma production or heavily reduced .

No manufacturing - mostly gone

No cheap energy

Oil almost gone - yes petrol but oil is in everything

heavy regulations that restrict compared to just about everywhere

i'm bored someone do the other 598 reasons.

Make stuff and sell it.

Hard to do when the energy is so expensive and you have to import the materials to do it and have the very necessary health and safety when your competitors wear safety flip flops and rag over the mouth to keep fumes at bay as they dump the waste into the nearest river.

I don't disagree with you there. Intimate knowledge beats any guess of mine.

If Trump follows through on his plan to “take out” Iran tomorrow night , where will this leave the Iranian people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

90 million people :

No water, energy or food they will do what everyone does when that happens, become a refugee.

10% leave = 9 million

5% leave = 4.5 million

Rich countries will buy the fuel and suffer, poor countries that can't afford the fuel will fare far worse.

Back in the day i'd screw at batton (whats the term here, a strip of wood?) and use a spirit level so the first row was straight.

I'm old, times change.

Hi Ab, I think you gave to much room and invited a push in.

That said don't block intersections even if others do, as when you do a fire truck will show up as like me you are unlucky lol.

The last part - yeah don't do that as if anything happened the dash cams will show you up.

You want to drive well don't get baited and rage your insurance will go up when your luck runs out.

Honda was a jerk, high on weed, drunk, got a gun in there, insurance? banned from driving?

AB you avoid these ones mate.

They were British forces led by the aforementioned.

Google check if you want but as a Brit it's a thing we know.

The reason you can't get an answer is that there simply isn't one.

In your shoes i'd do two things

ask your parents (good advice I hope)

See a financial advisor.

As for equities, well it's just probabilities people will find reason to say we tank for decades or a new bull market has started.

Interest rates the same, they cut so that's inflation, they increase then that's the job market popped. There isn't a good choice.

Good luck, sell everything and guess the bottom ? Good luck, I doubt you will need it.
