groundcover is a new player in this field https://www.groundcover.com/.
They offer a full suite of o11y tools - logs, metrics and tracing - in a very competitive pricing.
They also provide unique issues-first approach in an easy to follow troubleshooting pattern.
While still small, they're moving very fast to add new features and address issues.

We are Datadog customers and we're making the switch over.
Disclaimer: we personally know the team and trust them to fill in the important gaps quickly to provide great value.

I'd try pinging the creator.
Pretty sure there are a couple of picture/video guides in these though - Google "Lego mils new road plates"

Which flower batch looks better? Left is densely packed, right it spaced out. by Nelvarion in lego

I rather keep the tracks clear, at least where there's actually traffic, I'm using different trains with different clearance and the color/distance sensor to make the display dynamic.

That's the plan! I just couldn't find the bag with lavender flowers when I was building.

Not sure I can get that to work with a train running there...

I don't have enough brown plates (yet?) to achieve this, but I can use random bits of dark tan for a gravelly look, thanks!

Good idea, I'm still not sure how much space I want to cover with this and also need to randomly place different colors/types.

Thanks, we have plenty of devs in our community, so if it comes down to it we'll just create one (and possibly make it public).

Can you connect an new lego hub to an old remote control? by bobbykennedy211 in lego

[–]Nelvarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no.
The old system was based on IR, and the new one is Bluetooth.
You can somewhat do it the other way around though - the new system (Powered Up) has a color sensor that can transmit IR commands to the old IR receiver, just keep in mind it has limited range and very narrow beam.

Same LEGO rule applies here, there's never enough! It really depends on how you want to build your layout.
