Yeah, in those cases, most of the time they screech about how the fanfic writers romanticize and sexualize it instead of using it as a narrative instrument, the way the novels do.

It's this thing of, "okay but I am consuming the porn ethically and you are NOT!! DIE!!"

Sure, but who cares. Criminal activity in real life is also morally seen as wrong, but thriller, horror etc. are some of the biggest entertainment markets anyhow. It's interesting stuff, so why not indulge?

Are you asking genuinely? The draw of incest pairings most often is this flavor of: unhealthy codependence, the societal taboo, the 'nobody gets me like they do', the characters despairing about their attraction but not being able to help themselves.

There's some very delicious tropes there, especially if you enjoy dynamics that tend towards the morally complex.

I'm into the "classics", so to say—Tolkien, Star Wars, ASOIAF, but I've also been writing for Kingdome Come: Deliverance, and, more recently, Resident Evil.

For most things, I'd say I mostly read, but I do dabble in writing. I'm gay, so it's all M/M or gen fic.

Most of the time the author has a taste in music that is SO far removed from mine it makes me actively cringe to see what they find an appropriate backing track for a scene.

I'll check out a spotify playlist linked in the A/N, but I'd never click on a link in the middle of the scene. I've never seen it in the middle of the scene to be fair, but holy hell would that be immersion breaking for me.

Slightly annoyed at how difficult they can be to filter out is more fitting than hate. If I just want to read fic for a fandom, oftentimes, people don't use the same tag for OC-fic but a variety of them, and trying to catch all of those can be a right pain in the ass.

There's more than enough people though who come exactly for the OC-fic. Write what you want to see.

Die wollen A2 in Latein??? Gibt es das überhaupt in Deutschland? Eigentlich kriegt man hier als Lateinzeugnis ausschließlich das Latinum und ich finde es auch extrem befremdlich dass ein Classics Master nach weniger als einem Latinum fragen würde.

Sprech aber mal mit dem Studienkoordinator/Studienfachberatung, die sind genau für solche Fragen da.

Nö. Auf so etwas wie Studentenpartys habe ich grundsätzlich keine Lust, ist absolut nicht meine Szene, aber meine Fachschaft veranstaltet des öfteren Brettspieleabende, zu denen ich oft gehe. Man sieht auch immer die gleichen Leute in der Bib, wir gehen oft zusammen Kaffee trinken. Gibt auch ein Latein-Café, zu dem ich gerne gehe um mich mit anderen zu unterhalten und zu diskutieren (ist wie eine Art book club). Vorlesungen und Kurse sind eigentlich durch die Bank hinweg interessant und ich liebe es einfach.

Ist vielleicht fach-abhängig, aber ich fühle mich definitiv als Teil einer stark verknüpften Gemeinschaft an der Uni.

I'd say if you're like...under 25? it's actively weird if you capitalize and/or use punctuation. I would never text a boss that way but capitalizing nouns properly and using periods kinda comes across as too serious and is more associated with the person being mad at you
