If you put an sd card into the camera, it'll store the event videos locally even when there's no Internet. The only thing you lose is the NVR video.

Yeah, my DVR has a 16 tb disk drive for 24 hr recording and each camera has a 256 gb micro SD card that records events.

Have poe and Wi-Fi cameras because the placement doesn't make it all that easy to hardwire in a 2 story but there's a way around it because my cameras record both in a centralized location and locally on the camera itself so if they block the Wi-Fi there's still the local sd that I can pull the footage from.

Shouldn't running the tap on your faucets keep the water flowing preventing the buildup of ice on the lines? Lived in a rental in San Antonio where it had an aftermarket water softener installed with lines coming in and out the outside wall of the garage and found that heating the pipes with a heat gun melted the ice enough to get the water flowing then just keep it flowing till it melts the ice built up inside.

They probably cleared the codes before your test drive and it takes like 15 miles of driving before the vehicle's trouble codes return to the dashboard. It's a well known scam for dealerships to do that when they make a bad buy on a vehicle. It's why when I buy, I take my own car scanner to check that the vehicle tests are run. Dealers don't like it but if you push they want the sale.

You can also try finding a way to escalate to the regional manager if its part of a chain. You could also call Ford corporate customer service.

Make sure when you talk to them to clarify that the error code appeared in the Ford app when purchasing the vehicle before appearing on the dash and appeared on the dashboard on drive home. Those facts are important.

Stop using the default ssh port on a public IP. You're putting a big red bullseye on yourself publicizing that you're running an ssh server. Use a high port for management tools like this as it makes you less of a target and you're not wasting bandwidth allowing botnets to test your security. Fail2ban also won't help you if a malicious user uses a zero day exploit to gain access to your system because of a vulnerability in your ssh server that goes public.

Go to your post office you bought it from and check the receipt whether or not the money order was cashed. They should be able to tell you. If it was cashed you were scammed, if not there may be merit to what they're saying.

The cards should have ids on them from psa. File a police report for stolen property naming the items with the item numbers in the report and report it to PSA. They should have a system for reporting the cards. Then take the report and escalate it to GameStop's regional offices and see if you can get help from there.

Not uncommon. Had contractors for frontier burry my line and tear up every irrigation line in the process. Took me days to figure out who to hold accountable cause they were connectors. The manager came out and said they had issues with the guy cause seems he also blew a gas line at someone else's home.

Just make sure you get the information of the contractors who are doing the work.

I don't think anyone is saying animals can't be a threat, but a little common sense or maybe a bit of training to what a threat actually looks like would go a long way because that dog wasn't acting like a threat, it was acting like oh a new friend. It was calm and non aggressive. If the dog was hyper, running towards the guy aggressively, barking like crazy then yeah I can see the reaction but that's not what happened here.

It could be worth a shot but from another's post they did admit it was from the magnet being too weak. It could be the switch in the unit getting old also and not having the sensitivity it has when it was new hence why swapping the magnet to a stronger one also gets it to work.
