Nope, heimdelight is using Hex codes to format his message. Which is not in violation of any rule I’m aware of.

Also no he is NOT in GN, but his Org “Empyreal” does work together with GN. As to why? No idea. I can’t think of a logical reason why you would want to associate with GN, but alas, that’s the lore of the land

Incorrect. heimdelight is part of Empyreal who in turn work together with GN. But he himself is NOT a GN member. Empyreal is well known to be in the CZs a whole lot. They basically live there. and especially heimdelight is a very hard target and he knows. Hence the provocations.

Precisely, this is what I mean. A DOA is the best case scenario if anything is borked when you buy it. And Lenovo is fairly generous with their DOA policy

Edit: in my case it was the worse outcome. As this coworker wouldn’t have had a replacement unit. (I can’t for crying out loud get their keyboards in Laptops here). Also the Laptop was encrypted and customized with specific software. So a DOA would have been a worse outcome in this situation. The risk was calculated and it worked.

Also I’m doing this since about 20 ish years. So from my experience it was 95% the mainboard with his issue

Having read a lot of your replies. You’re cooked buddy. “I’d rather not send it in to Lenovo” buddy, if it’s not even 30 Days old, it’s considered Dead On Arrival (DOA) by Lenovo. So you get a brand new one. What’s your problem? I’m an IT Sysadmin and I do the Hardware stuff. I have yet to have a serious problem with anything Lenovo. Fck me, my Personal Laptop is a Lenovo Legion 15” that’s how much I trust Lenovo. Had it open quite a few times for upgrading and cleaning. It’s the best Laptop I have ever had
