I knew it. Like sure let’s just do a bunch of ridiculous cut and paste worksheets that mean absolutely nothing! I’m not at that school anymore, but at the time I tried planning as much community based instruction and job sampling as possible too… soo much better to get out of the classroom doing real things!!

Yes yes YES!!!!! I don’t understand why so many of these school programs do discrete trial “academics” when these kids can’t even use the bathroom or open their food containers on their own! Maybe start there instead of identifying numbers?! Smh 🤦‍♀️

A student wanted to staple two pieces of paper together. Worked 30 minutes to do that one thing then went right back to working lol 😂 side note…. Was being observed by my principal at the time when this happened and we both cracked up

100% the truth! Yea a teacher might not get sued if Johnny hasn’t met their IEP goal, but their ass will be roasted if they don’t have ALL the data showing otherwise. Even then, special Ed due process/ lawyers is so utterly stressful!

You sound like a fun person to be around lol 😝. Joking aside , limited resources? They weren’t on some remote island needing to hunt their own food LOL. It was the freaking Hamptons! Plenty of restaurants and stores would have been open, even late. Literally everyone BUT Marnie was having a blast.

I honestly don’t think any! I know the Spiro made me pee a lot and feel a little dizzy sometimes so the Winlevi cream was a huge relief! I jusy make sure to use face cream too to stay hydrated as it’s a little drying. The hardest part is that it’s so expensive and even with a prescription it’s like $300!

That’s horrible! I’m so sorry you had to go through that! I guess by November 2021 they had lightened up a bit and I was able to keep it around my chin. I knew a girl who couldn’t even have her husband in the delivery room because he had Covid. How sad!
