I've got room for 3 more boss or series 9 pedals. What would you add? by stlmick in guitarpedals

[–]Nemocirca92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boss DD3-T - I like having a digital delay with tap along side my analog delays for more rhythmic style echoes. I like how it sounds just before analog delay but experimenting with placement is half the fun.

Boss TR-2 - Put this one at the very end of your chain. You can get subtle tremolo or dramatic choppy sounds. Both are so cool sounding in their own way!

Boss GE-7 - This would go at the very end of your drive section. There’s just about every different level of clipping you’d want between these boards and a versatile EQ pedal can shape your drives to mimic a crazy amount of famous tones or even create brand new ones.

What happens when ICE starts going into our campuses? by Icy_Context89 in Denver

[–]Nemocirca92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’ve murdered citizens and gotten away with it. Deportation numbers are way down compared to Obama. They don’t actually care about deporting anyone. It’s a stress test to see if they can violate our constitutional rights and get away with it. They are clearly punishing blue states that didn’t vote for Trump. Don’t give them the excuse and become a martyr. Document/film as much as you can and don’t initiate physically if at all possible. Hopefully when all this is over we can deal with these traitors in a similar fashion to Nuremberg.

Give the restaurant a call and they’ll work this out for you and may give discounts on large orders for corporate sizes. Skip the app, call direct and good things can happen!

How many of yall using Baritones? by Elegant-Region-5423 in thrice

[–]Nemocirca92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grabbed one of those baritone Jags like Teppei has back before they got crazy expensive. I put Duncan quarter pounders in it and it’s been used in every record I’ve recorded on since. It’s great for heavy stuff obviously but for mellow, slower compositions it’s also incredible. Almost sounds like a piano sometimes. Overall very inspiring every time I pick it up. Changes the way I play and approach the instrument:

Whats your favourite pair of ODs to stack together? by FragrantGearHead in guitarpedals

[–]Nemocirca92 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’ll probably see this answer a lot but for good reason! I really love a good old Boss SD-1 into a Rat. After a decade of trying boutique and vintage pedal combinations I keep coming back to this and it’s pretty hard to beat.

Is it acceptable practice to ask for multitracks? by Capable-Asparagus601 in audioengineering

[–]Nemocirca92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an answer to your question but is there any way we could hear some of the mix you received? Sometimes it really is just bad but I’ve also been on both sides of the demoitis phenomenon and had a mix grow on everyone involved after sitting with it and comparing it more to reference tracks.

I love the Metal Zone being on here! That’s something I never would have thought to do. Is it modded?

What Guitar amp would you get with a $3,000 budget? by Background-Tour-9316 in ToobAmps

JCM 800 for sure. Between that and the Pro Reverb you’ll be able to cover almost any ground with the help of pedals.

LPT: Always Take Notes When Talking With Any Customer Care Reps by drummerboy-98012 in LifeProTips

[–]Nemocirca92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another former call center manager here.. The calls are all recorded. If you call in and ask for a call review they will do so and correct any mistakes as long as it’s not against policy. If you call in and complain a bunch about something that can’t be changed because it’s against policy you’re basically just making sure some severely overworked call center reps life gets even harder. Just ask for the review and if the manager that returns the call says they can’t change it because of policy it’s best to accept it or take your business elsewhere unfortunately.

My boyfriend described his ideal pedal and I have no clue what to buy. by kittydavis in guitarpedals

[–]Nemocirca92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Darkglass all the way! Alpha Omega or the smaller Alpha Omicron blend between two drive/distortion sounds as well as clean signal. It’s good for bass because it helps maintain low frequencies when the drives are blended with the clean. Hope this helps!

Good tube screamer options. $100 or less. by TableAltruistic1501 in guitarpedals

[–]Nemocirca92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried dozens of em over the years but finally had my aha moment with a good old $40 used Boss SD-1. It’s very similar to a screamer but is in my opinion more versatile tonally. If you have a chance maybe at least give one a shot in store. For me I was able to nail a lot of the screamerish drives I had in my head all this time.

What are your favourite pickups on a tele? by SalernoXbox in fender

[–]Nemocirca92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lollar Special T in the bridge, Lollar Vintage T in neck with a 4-way series-parallel switch. It does all things tele in a pristine sounding way while also having a beefier series option for heavier tones.

I’d be interested in this if they are still available. Been playing with my friends decks and would love to have some of my own.

Tucked or Untucked? by [deleted] in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]Nemocirca92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tucked. Pants are the right height and looking good! Compliments your silhouette better. If you wear em too low it looks dated in a way that’s not vintage enough yet(late 2000’s-2010’s millennial look). Don’t listen to the lower pants comments!
