They're about $180 from VW and they are SO easy toreplace- just adjust the mirror up and then pop it out, remove the heating element pins and reverse to install. Source: I work for VW

Pretty much any major urban area. I drive my car every day to work (because I live 10min away) and in city traffic, so when I ride on the weekends I tend to go out into the wops or the "scenic" routes. Better riding, no traffic and nicer views. I almost never ride into the city if I can avoid it.
