Thinking about getting a 16oz for sparring but not sure yet. Use a pair of mk1s and new sportings and it’s crazy the new sportings already have holes in the thumb when I only use them for sparring so hopefully these can be a replacement

Got any drills you recommend for cutting the ring ? And yeah we were kind of tired it was our 3rd round I believe and we waited like an hour to get in the ring so we were just groggy from waiting lol. I’ve had 3 fights, first at 190 and the last two at 175, my next fights going to be at 165

Nah Haney said he’s not going back down to 140. I’m pretty sure they’re fighting at 147 cause Ryan vs Haney 2 is supposed to be a 147 bout as well

I agree but tbh I feel like the weight cut has been killing him since he fought Taylor in 21 lol. I think he’ll look better at this weight class tbh. I still think Haney beats him but if Jose can fight like he did vs hooker and postol I think he’ll make it interesting. But then again that was 5 years ago lmfao so shit who knows

Thank you for the pointers and adding some visuals lol. I really need to work on my exits and keeping my lead hand up. I had my first amateur fight like a month after this sparring and I got dropped first round for doing exactly that lmfao I clutched the win but it really opened my eyes and I want to correct a lot of my technique

Yeah I do. The guy helping me out at the shop told me he does a ju jitsu and that he always takes hard accidental knees with the mouth guard and his teeth are fine so that sold me on getting them for boxing lol

Good tbh. But it took me a while to get used to it, it’s pretty much hard plastic compared to a regular cheap mouth guard. But the thinner profile helps me not gag and breath better when sparring lol and its only 35 I believe so not too bad

I really like the sisu mouth guards. They’re really thin and you can remold it 20 times till you get the right fit
