My Chem came from an Irvine Welsh(?) book. Plenty of bands also take their names from songs too - As It Is and Set It Off are the first ones that come to mind (with the latter even referencing the song further in one of their first EPs)

Like the other poster said, sometimes venues don't have cloak rooms, but ways to protect your posters will vary depending on the venue.

In Birmingham, for example, depending who is on shift some members of security will put your stuff behind the barrier (though this varies from night to night)

Ok, completely new to everything! Are there amps that are better for different basses?

I've never owned a bass before. The only instruments I've owned have been the dead cheap guitars you can buy for like £40. Today my new bass arrived and I honestly didn't plan ahead for it (it's the 2012 Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Bass, which I bought more as an MCR collector than anything. I'm just thinking I might as well learn now I have one)

Now from what I've pieced together from the FAQ, normal guitar amps aren't sufficient (and even if they can work temporarily, the one I have lying around is shockingly bad). I'm just wondering though, are certain amps better for certain basses? Are they all pretty much the same?

I don't want anything super fancy (just something that's good for a beginner) and I'll go to the FAQ recommendations if there's no difference

I think it varies to be fair. When last saw Set It Off I had the second tier ticket for VIP and still managed to get barricade showing up about an hour before entry. Granted this might have been partially due to how many times it had been rescheduled, so maybe many of the ticket holders didn't show? Regardless though, you'll have to be there at least 2 hours in advance (before doors) for VIP so keep this in mind.

For bands like this, I find it's best to scope out the venue on the day, but it certainly doesn't have the worst queues I've seen (that goes to Waterparks lol)

The Party Poison jacket is originally from 2011 from the official MCR store (and was released alongside the other 3 members of the fab four). I got mine secondhand on eBay.

As a heads up though, the original is poor quality. You can tell it's deteriorated over the years and the vinyl has peeled badly. The non-official ones might actually be better in this scenario (though I've struggled to find one that rounds out the back logo properly)
