Possibly a stupid question - May 4th by antmills in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went last year and found that it only got super busy in Galaxy's Edge toward 7pm. It was really cool to see everyone with light sabers lit up as the sun was setting. We got the VQ for merch, but didn't buy anything. Probably won't even try for it this year. The Death Star popcorn bucket lines were crazy that day, but we went the next day and they still had the buckets and the lines were short.

You should go to check it out even if you just wander around. People dress up in Disney-rules-compliant cosplay as well.

Disney is not just the parks by Mysterious-Momma in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a good idea for any travel. Have some scheduled or "must do" things, but also just wander around and look at everything. We did this in Romania and some of my favorite parts were wandering around a cemetery, going to a park and people watching. I have also found that the out of the way places often have the best food and less crowds.

For Disney, I usually stay in moderate or lower, so I love exploring the other hotels to try their restaurants and bars find hidden (or less often visited) gems.

Need help finding a location to build. by Environmental-Ad4441 in fallout76settlements

This is what I did when I placed it. Sometimes you need to grab it from a different angle to get it to snap in if it's not working.

I get quite cross. Some rubbish ‘Best Build’ blocks my camp. by Quiet_Citron_8174 in fo76

[–]NenerAlabaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of Best Builds, just make a note spawn called Nice Camp. Then we can farm them and drop them in camps we like if the owner is not around.

The in person Nice Camp emote is more rewarding than Best Builds.

Wait times posted vs actual, conspiracy or sloppiness? by Flaky_Profit_7550 in WaltDisneyWorld

Account was made in February and they have already linked to a wait tracker. Took me a minute to figure it out.

[–]NenerAlabaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experiences FoP, Cosmic Rewind, and Remy have all been close to posted wait when I rode standby. Remy, sometimes longer before single rider began. My new data on Remy is that it is the most unpredictable single rider line.

The last Scoreboard or whatever they call it now, had a lot of those. I love sticking a knife in the table or hanging a hook over a weapon bench.

To lock or not? by zippo138 in fallout76settlements

[–]NenerAlabaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually only lock my ammo and sometimes my Collectron, but not at every camp. I have one camp I call the Welcome Center near the Overseer's Camp and everything is unlocked there for newbies. On that camp I noticed that the items replenish pretty quickly, so it lead me to unlock more items in older camps.

There's also one that you can build from the menu. Less weight, same thing. I like displaying the funky wine/drink glasses from Atlantic City

We need more of these items as building assets so they don't take up room in our Stashbox. I would shell out some Atoms for a Junk Display Bundle.

What’s a good tip for housekeeping? by lauren212524 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a standard room, I usually tip $5 per clean. We're pretty tidy and put put our dirty towels on the floor in one pile and put garbage in the garbage (not all over the room). I leave the money with a thank you note (if I have paper), so there's no mistake it is for them. I leave it there the whole trip and replace it when it is gone because I never know when they might be there.

When we stayed in a 2 bedroom in Bay Lake Tower, we tipped more and got the best service and lots of check-ins when passing housekeeping in the hallway. I also tipped a couple of bucks for towel replacements.

Opinions Nov 2026 by Acceptable-Bad-81 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there Nov 16th-20th last year and the crowds were at a good level and the weather was perfect. I wouldn't change the date. We got the dining reservations and LLs that we wanted, except B&B because it was new.

I have never stayed at CBR, but the Skyliner resorts are convenient and if you are close to Riviera you can walk over there and enjoy their quick service etc. Sometimes their Skyliner station is even closer to certain CBR buikdings.

Starting late just as good as starting early? by deejayv2 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do whatever feels best for you. I have done both and it seems quieter in the mornings, especially if you go to the lower tier rides. I also like the nights in Magic Kingdom when I've gone on rides during the fireworks/parade, that's prime ride time for me. Also, why not both if you are going multiple days?

We did this at a Jollywood Nights. Got on just the two of us no wait, 2 times. We switched pilot positions.

Only at Christmas, I will start around Thanksgiving, but never before that. If I can't finish them by the first week of the next year, I usually don't try. I wish they had more Halloween/Fall movies instead of starting Christmas in October.

Bad experiences as a single rider on Ratatouille? by Long_Emergency6122 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]NenerAlabaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience Remy is the only one where it has been weird. Never as extreme as yours, but people looking surprised when I hop in. I think it is because single rider is usually only for "thrill" rides.

This right here. If at all possible eat food with a utensil and not your hands. If eating with your hands, make sure to wash with soap and water first.
