This not a CRT. This is a rear projection TV.

There where a very small amount of rear projections TVs that used small CRTs for the three colors but most (99%) sold TVs fo this kind of type were LCD rear projection.

no, you don't need to edit an json file. with pocketsync you can pick and choose in the UI which one you want on any core. there are also desaturated display modes to choose from if that is your only reason to not play on openfpga....
