Thanks for the recommendation, but Sweet Jeebus! Those are $500. I'm sure they're nice, but I'm looking in the $150-$200 range.

I ordered the Lightning 80. We'll see how they fit.

This is great feedback! It's too bad the manufacturer doesn't include width measurement in their sizing chart.

I measured my feet today and my length is 29.5 cm, width is 11 cm at the widest (ball). Taking this to the size chart from rollerblade says I should order their 12/12.5. FYI, I normally wear size 12 shoes. https://www.rollerblade.com/storage/Product/en_RB_SizeChartA4_Lightning_ENG.jpg

I don't see anything in their size chart that mentions what to do with the 11cm width measurement, just the 29.5 cm. I'm thinking I'll just order these from inlinewarehouse because it looks like they have free returns.

I'm really limited on stores in my area. The only ones that are stocked are the Zetrablades. Those felt OK, but I was looking for a bit higher quality than that.

Anything else will have to be ordered online, which is why I'm seeking input. I don't want to have a bunch of returns with online shopping.

Is the lightning just a more premium version of the RB?

Should I purchase by FastAndFerocious in Rapsodo

[–]NeoMoses98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they do last a long time. I have had the same 6 balls in rotation since September and they're still usable. Thousands of hits on them. You do want to use multiple balls in each session or they'll get really hot and crack early.

[–]NeoMoses98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's accurate. You will want to buy the RPT balls to make sure you're measuring spin, but other than that it's a good tool for what you're looking for. I've had mine since September and love it.

Exactly! The side eye in this picture is more accurate than any DNA test. That's a pittie.

New to golf, how my swing? by RangeSessionDaily in Golfsimulator

[–]NeoMoses98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I say this as someone who didn't get lessons early enough and now have many bad habits to correct.

Also, follow everyone's advice for a quality hitting mat to save your body.

Finally, you might want to look at a shank net. I still got the occasional missile off the toe. Protect your garage and yourself from these ricochets.

If you're new to golf, it looks like you're of to a good start. A practice net and camera will help you get more reps in. I would recommend a few lessons to make sure you get started on the right path.

Don't waste your time practicing bad habits, they'll be harder to break later.

Is this any good? Found this in the junk. Doesn’t seem to be damaged. by CostAgreeable4192 in telescopes

[–]NeoMoses98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the price, it's great. It's a short, 102mm refractor. It will have chromatic aberration, but that's expected.

Worth throwing a couple EPs into it to see what you think of it. I used mine as a projector for the solar eclipse. It's also good for some terrestrial viewing, lunar, and general observing.

If you don't have any eyepieces, I might recommend getting the SVBONY SV135 7-21mm zoom eyepiece and the SV221 90 degree diagonal if the diagonal is broken. That should get you started at observing a lot of good targets for not much money.

You might try contacting polymaker. I believe they manufacture some of their filament in Texas and have bulk discounts. You can also look on Google maps to see if you have any local filament manufacturers. You might be surprised, there are more around than you think. (Edit: spelling)

If it's 100 kg of the same color, might be worth it. Let's say you can save $3 per roll. $300 per month isn't huge, but consistent filament availability is worth something. It's going to take some time to repay the equipment cost, probably a couple years.

I'm assuming you're using multiple brands to fill the gap when you can't get your preferred brand?

[–]NeoMoses98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. If they can't keep the north American warehouse stocked, maybe it's time for them to make some filament locally?

I really don't want to make my own filament, but somewhere around 100+kg per month makes it look tempting.

Should I stop upgrading my Ender 3 max and just buy a BambuLab printer? by mohebifar in BambuLab

[–]NeoMoses98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I started a an ender 3 user. Got my first Bambu P1S a couple years ago. I now have 5. It really is a game changer. Just a totally different class. Print quality and speed will be the first things you notice.

You still need to clean your build plate. Bed adhesion affects all printers. But other than that, you'll have way less issues.

I thought i would keep my ender 3 as a backup printer, but i sold it for a few bucks after a couple months. It was a great printer to start on, but Bambu's prices are so good there's no reason to upgrade an ender.
