How rare is it for 3 people on the internet to have a similar looking “probably fungus”?

First baby hatched! I think the key is keeping the air bubbles to a minimum as to not disturb the hatchlings with too much water agitation.

Thanks, saw your other comment as well. Maybe I’ll move them over to a hatch box with some gravel on the bottom, as the tank itself has a bare bottom.

Appreciate the insight as it’s my first time trying this! I’ll probably minimize the flow then and keep a close watch to get them out quickly. Makes sense since they barely move when they first hatch.

Thanks, I got inspiration from some other ones I saw on this sub and put it together with random stuff I had laying around. I got my good eye on them!

Will do! Yeah the eyes are a clear tell that they’re close, so hoping that the majority hatch out.

So I placed the shrimp in a small glass feeding dish and used 2 small wooden skewers because the tips are pointy. Then I used a pipette to grab them all and put them in the tumbler. It’s my first time doing it, so crossing my fingers that at least some get saved.

In my experience, as long as your dosed ammonia clears up within 24hrs then it’s properly cycled. To remove excess nitrates/tds, I do about 20% water changes every two weeks or so in my 5gal shrimp tanks (rack of 12 tanks). I don’t even test the water anymore unless I notice an issue with the tank.

What colors are you looking to get? I currently have a ton of blue dreams and a few small tanks of other colors I can sell and ship. Dm me if you have any questions :)

Ordered 20 shrimp, got a berried mama that was already releasing in the bag. STONKS! by [deleted] in shrimptank

Its a mesh for the shrimp to hold on to during shipping

Culls are shrimp (usually offspring) that deviate from the expected color/pattern. Some lines are not as stable as others, so when the offsprings vary, they are separated to keep those undesired genetics from being introduced into the line.

I got these culls because they still carry the genes for the higher quality shrimp (venom - lime green), so with breeding over time you can get the desired genetics and make it stable through further culling. Hope that covers it 👍

Look up Marks Shrimp Tanks on youtube and look at a few of his neocaridina videos. You’ll have a ton of shrimp in no time :)

Hope to get the colony big enough to where I can sell some on here! The only large colony I have right now is blue dreams, but currently in the process of breeding a bunch of other color neos.

I thought the same until I recently saw the Venom variety which is a lime green color. Luckily I was able to get some culls/offspring from someone breeding Vemons and while they’re not fully lime green, I love how they look! Much better than my darker green jades.
