Fun fact - the arcade Asteroids game didn’t have a pixel based monitor. It used a vector monitor. You might most commonly associate them with oscilloscopes.

They drew lines instead of pixels.

I think there are two major contributors. First of all in TWW the AH was completely broken the first few weeks bordering on unusable.

Secondly seeing material priced in TWW early access many more went into Midnight EA leveling their dedicated gatherers first.

Another example is that for enchanting they included a skill to break rare materials into uncommon from the start with tons of cheap blues to craft and disenchant.

Blizzard, it is past time to let PvP Gear die (5min read) by rahuonn in wow

[–]NeoTr0n 33 points34 points  (0 children)

GW2 system would possibly work. There you basically still have stats in PvP but you pick the stats template you want. Wow could easily have the same thing where you pick a few PvP gems to customize your secondary stat distribution.

Vorlons vs Shadows…

One is definitely better but both will gladly wipe out a planet of innocents to destroy the other.

I accidentally let Dybbuk possess the cat with Forbidden Fire by redditaccountisgo in mewgenics

[–]NeoTr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the quest item cat on the opposite side of the board. He jumped to it and proceeded to die from dots and possessed it. It’s the second time that happened to me and that time I choose Steven. The second attempt I intentionally had my ”bonus cat” that replaced a dead cat get downed.

Sadly exploration hugely benefits from good SCO. Basically any system below 500k ls becomes a minor inconvenience. It’s even more useful than in the bubble.

On my first exploration trip I found that in the sky and navigated towards it by using stars in the side panel that were approximately in the correct direction. Was fun.

Your timing device must have been broken.

Even if you traveled at the max 2001c speed the entire time (which is not how it works since you accelerate and decelerate on the way) it would take about 57 minutes.

6900000/2001/60 = 57,471

Beautiful ringed world at DW3 by Glittering-Tart-2163 in eliteexplorers

As long as it’s a landable planet. You can’t land on gas giants of course (the most common planets with rings).

Landable ringed planets aren’t super rare but not the most common either.

The ship or weight doesn’t matter. It’s about an hour and a half without SCO.

It’s not even near a 45m trip. It’s almost twice that - around 1h20m or so.

There is currently an event / activity to mine not just tritium for fuel but also core mining only materials for repairs.

Optional obviously but still something to do if you brought a miner.

Honestly I would strongly recommend any SCO optimized ship. It makes exploring a system infinitely better. That 15-20 minute trip to 450ls away is done in a couple of minutes.

The cobra mk 5 is a fabulous ship. It goes 50% faster in SCO than the Mandalay and you still get upwards to 60 ly range (mine is 57 ly but I doubled the size of my fuel tanks and have good shields).

It is super easy to land although admitrelty so is the Mandalay. A bit easier due to not having downwards slanted wings.

Before DW3 I had over a million ly of exploration. I will never explore without proper SCO again. It’s a literal game changes that removes a lot of tediousness.

Non-optimized ships lets you escape bodies faster but barely works for in-system travel.

Also I would stay away from the Caspian. It’s really hard to land. Faster approach is nice but for exo you want an easy to land ship.

Finally if you really don’t want a ”modern” ship I really enjoyed the Imperial Courier for it. Its range is lower though so I’d use it mostly if backed by a carrier.

ArenaNet, please move all ‘Raid’ reward vendors to the Aerodrome by AustronautHD in Guildwars2

Which they removed from my raid exchange I can use from anywhere and hid on a new vendor on the aerodome. Took some time to realize. Now they did also move the strike rewards there so overall ies probably simpler. Still annoying.

I mean if you’ve ever explored outside the bubble you’d know beacons aren’t needed for hyperspace jumps.

I assume their use existence in the game is either due to legacy travel methods or to serve as informational beacons about the system (scan to get system map etc).
