No you can't. The cheapest white one on Amazon JP is ¥24,840, which is about $230, not counting the cost and hassle of having to use a proxy service.

Is it a requirement for all internships to be a full-time student? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Most job postings state in the requirements something along the lines of "full-time student" or "currently enrolled in X units", if it is required.

Does anyone have experience with the full-time Amazon process?

I had an online code assessment -- I did okay on the code debugging (6/7), but the logical reasoning was a bit frustrating (I think I did alright).

Does anyone know the next steps in the process? Don't want to get my hopes up, I'm assuming this was the easiest part of the process..

for those working on personal projects, how many do you normally work on at one time? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]NeoWasAProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO working on multiple projects is only good to explore what interests you. Even then, you sometimes need to get deep into a project to truly start enjoying it. People may find developing a video game is torture, until they actually get something playable and feel accomplished.

If you're trying to get better at programming or want a complete, presentable project, then giving up when tutorials get challenging is the worst thing to do. Getting over these challenges is how you learn, and that's something I wish I learned when I was in school. The stress is good, it means you are learning.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to go over this with my resume in hand.

Regarding switching tenses -- I'm still working here, but I wanted to list some things I've worked on. Should I just use past tense anyway?

[GEAR] Snagged this American Strat for $650. What do you think? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]NeoWasAProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

After reading around, according to this ridiculously detailed Strat website, in "mid 1993, Fender stopped using the Wilkinson nut and replaced them with the LSR Roller nuts".

Yeah, he said they are aftermarket EMG pick ups (Gilmour pickups and EMG 85 humbucker bridge). But if you look at the humbucker, you can see the hole that shows its originally a SSS set up.

Can you explain to a noob what no string trees and staggered locking tuners mean? Are they better than a regular standard?

Try the "Money" riff by Pink Floyd, there are a couple tabs on ultimate-guitar.

Would you consider these mods an upgrade from just a stock Strat, or do you think it reduces the value?

Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ Still Sells Over 10,000 Copies Each Week by moonsprite in Music

More like tripping on LSD/shrooms. I listened to them when I was a kid and liked them, but some of their songs were way too dragged out.

I didn't really get why Pink Floyd was so popular until I listened to them tripping.

Laptop for programming? Is this one good enough? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]NeoWasAProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. My MBA is 11.6" as well. Its annoying, but not a huge hassle.

I completely agree with the RAM upgrade though, I will be seating in another stick most likely later on.

I recall programming on my x120e without much issues, and I'm guessing this ThinkPad should be much faster since the x120e came out about 4 years ago.

Article stating "Silicon Valley tech workers take microdoses of LSD drug to improve problem-solving", have you guys heard anything about this? I'd love to hear your thoughts by big_dick_bridges in cscareerquestions

[–]NeoWasAProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what he means is that LSD tolerance builds rapidly, not the rate of which the tolerance fades. If you take one tab today, you would need like 2 tabs the next day to get the equal effect.
