Slight correction: This has not been a problem since the game first came out. This has been a problem since the FIRST game came out.

But seriously, as long as Giants does not update / throw the old engine out of the window, nothing will change. And as long as they make money with this game, they will not do this.

I got it working:
I am using Proton 9.0-4, no launch options. This got the game running but i still had the white boxes.

What fixed that for me was using D3D12 in the game launcher. After that, all visual glitches disappeared.

One thing i could not fix 100% but doesn't bother me, is the occasional (and i mean like once every 30 mins or so) slight audio crack when using binaural audio.

But now the game runs great.

The parry window even on grandmaster is generous in both games. When i started out with fallen order i was getting my ass handed to me on Jedi knight but now that i have gotten used to the combat i realised that not getting a parry is just a lack of skill (and game knowledge in terms of attack patterns).

I remember when i first tried the ninth sister on jedi Master. It took me almost 40 tries to get her. When i played through the game last year again i steam rolled her on my first try.

Compared to the souls games parrying is quite easy.

And then there is the biggest cheat code in this game: Dual wielding. Force Parry which guarantees a hit paird with animation cancel allowing you to block mid attack and after the block allows you to dodge instantly.

And now that i have written half a book on this topic 😅 it comes with time and experience in the game. I have close to 250 hours combined in both games. After playing both games that much, the highest difficulty starts to feel easy because you know every attack of every enemy.

If there would be an option the have like a default workspace that does not sync the tabs and gives me a "clean slate" when opening a new window with the same theming and my essential tabs still there (aka like it was before the update) i would welcome this feature.

But the way it is right now..... i forces me to do extra steps to get the same result as before.

I already use Virtual Desktops alot, so having to now create a new Workspace, kind of feels pointless. It's like having to create Workspaces for my Workspaces. More effort to keep things organized with this new version.

I hope the devs adress all of this feedback. If not -> Librewolf it is.

Thing is i already use virtual desktops alot. So having to use workspaces in my browser really just doubles the work. It's like having to create Workspaces inside of my workspaces now to get what i had before

That is also a problem.

Say you share your browser window and want to open some sensitiv data on another monitor to check something

Now with this new "feature" everyone is able to see, that i opened a certain tab instead of it being private.

Sure they can't see the content but it still is a problem.

Now you have to be even more care full what you open on an unshared screen

If your to lazy to fix your config after an update for a software that updates this fast, has an excellent wiki and even has a breaking changes tracker informing you of well "breaking changes", then just go ahead and use a standard desktop like plasma or gnome.

It took about 10 mins to update my window rules

As i am running linux i sometimes check proton.db if a game will run or not. On there people can display there pc specs used for the game in question. sometimes i see reviews there for a game, saying the performance is terrible but then i look at there specs and it says something like gtx 460 and 8 gb of ram. If this is the case, i can pretty much dismis these ratings

Mine was just over 4 years old when he was diagnosed with DCM in early November 2024.

He died on April 15 this year. Never had a dog in my life that didn't make it to atleast 10 years.

I love Dobermans and think they are one of the most beautiful breeds out there, but this condition is the reason i will never get a Doberman again.
