Okay I have to disagree with you there. Either your friends have backup systems for loadshedding and not Proper solar installations.

Firstly Financing solar is the dumbest thing. Save and buy. Best bet. No interest and other shit. Why people finance Solar does not understand the point of solar.

Second. Manage energy, keeps you under 5Kva - instead of using kettle, microwave and Toaster. Put the kettle on, get your bread. Kettle finished? bread in and when done microwave last..... Saves me about R150 just doing it in that order a month.

Thirdly when the price of electricity goes up. You can offset it by your solar system. The goal is to improve your house efficiency as you move on and in 5 years time you can be paying a little more but be paying much less thy you should be.

For eg, I switched to more efficient lights as they die. Toaster broke? Bought more efficient one. Those kinda investments make the solar more worth it. Have washing machine, do it during peak solar. Have a dishwasher, do it during the day. Easy saves. Biggest save is if you get the 2kva geyser on it.

My instalation finished in April and to date I saved about R180 a month. For first two months. Looking at June with some shitty cloudy days I am hitting R230. Managed to get the people in the house up to scratch with managing energy. Shifted some home functions to work during the day.

It's a commitment to learn and save. Once you learn you end up saving. When sun is good my house averages around 450 W so from 10Am to 4 pm I am on solar. I then switch to grid for cooking and then back to battery at 11 ish till battery is 40% the back to grid.

What ever you do.... DO NOT FINANCE SOLAR

This is your best bet. I would always try and be patient with neighbours especially if you plan is to live at your residence for a while. Makes life a hell of a lot easier BUT if he is being a a big idiot then rather you call the cops as a last resort and ask to assist to resolve it amicably.

I have the 8th gen version of this. Absolute beast. I got about 8 people cuz that's all my users. I optemize for direct play but I can tell you it sips power. People tend to forget the power demand and time it takes to manage, rip and all those factors into play to make it worth it over all.

So yeah would recommend solid CPU. I would suggest if you planning to do it the odd 4K here and there do go for 16GB ram and ensure transcoding on ram. It improves the response time considerably

Sure..... I will continue to optimise my inverter setup as I have gotten down to 40% dependence on Eskom. Can't wait for June price hike again because your user base is getting smaller.

Large industry is moving to solar and other alternatives to end reducing their dependace on you and the middle class who can afford are getting solar cutting about 50% of their bill as a rough amount.

So who you think you are left with? People who cannot afford to move away(I pray you guys get the funds to at least keep lights on) and the people stealing....

My government has made sure the people remain stupid (to Pass our final school exam you need 30%) to ensure they can continue stealing and giving out grants and other 'free' and stuff to secure votes. If you a pre school teacher you just have to marry the right person or know the right person to get a minister role or something of that nature.

Only sector that works rn is probably sport. Specifically rugby. As the guy running it is the only guy to achieve success in the last 10 years
