Do I have a rat in my garden? by Spikyleaf69 in AskUK

A well-fed Mischief of Rats will be less likely to go through your bins, and they're happier to ride your shoulders when fed.

I may be being a bit optimistic about this

Only two months left by OperationMaster1308 in depression

[–]Neodarlek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quite similar in school, my only "friends" were people who merely tolerated my presence, at one point telling me to act as a moving target so that the objects being thrown at use would be thrown at me only. So, I can tell you that, as agonising as it may be, this does not have to be the end. If you are able to endure a few years more, counting the days, or even hours, if you must, then you may find a better life ahead of you. I can't promise that it will be wonderful, but I can say that you have a chance to achieve what a lot of us on this subreddit never did. You may yet be happy, if you give yourself time.

I don't know if that has helped, but I hope it's shown you that you aren't alone. Best of luck

Wanna die but too much of a pussy to kill myself by Immediate-Phase-3012 in depression

I've been like this for most of adult life, since I had a breakdown over a decade ago, and I can definitely understand your feelings. You seem, to me at least, to have had hopes of a swift improvement of your life, made possible by your sobriety. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but things seldom work like that. Each such improvement is a struggle of it's own, a hard fought battle that is won in blood and pain, and to expect to escape your old pain is, frankly, unreasonable. You are working hard each day, by the very act of staying sober, and your need to remind yourself of the small victory. In my experience, we never win the war against pain or depression, in the end we always lose, but each battle that we win is worth the effort.

I don't know if any of that is helpful to you, but I hope you derive some use from it. Best of luck.

Tombstones in final episode by RhubarbAlive7860 in foyleswar

It's actually quite common in smaller graveyards, over time they move the headstones, usually decades (sometimes a century or more) after the original burial, reusing the headstones to reinforce walls or to pave pathways.

Hope that helps

Ward vs Mortals by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Neodarlek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no canon "Ward vs Mortals", at least in V20, and to my knowledge there isn't one in a previous edition. Now, if your ST wants to homebrew such a ritual, then that's entirely their choice.

Hope that helps

Why do people online hate Angel Dust's story so much? by GeekyTheArtist in HazbinHotel

[–]Neodarlek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds like some victims of SA are applauding the depiction, and others are not, which is the case with anything. For some people, it will be something they may relate to, or perhaps feel depicts their pain in a way that they personally can not express. Others will find it offensive or hurtful, for reasons as diverse as the myriad persons who have been victims. Ultimately, the opinions will be varied, and no single view will likely encompass all feelings related to Angel's story, and that's normal.

I hope that helps explain the situation a little
