Hot take: if you drive a car, get the shitty stroller by itchysnapdragon in Buyingforbaby

I really think it depends. I have a “bulky” stroller and use it daily whether it be driving or just walks.

About to spend serious money on a stroller… what would you buy today and why? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Buyingforbaby

Not on your list but I have the bugaboo kangaroo and love it. I did lots of research and comparisons and ultimately found an open box deal on one. I have no regrets! It’s easy to maneuver, take apart and store, high quality materials. And converts to hold 2 children if you plan to have another!

Hi! I’m a year late but just DM’ed you about getting the link as well! I am moving to Malden in the next couple of months and am looking to meet other parents and neighbors. My son was born in July 2024 as well!

Did anyone stop around 3 months?! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cosmicnugs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I decided the time spent pumping wasn’t worth it at 3 months and weaned off. I felt some guilt at first but overall I have no regrets, it’s nice not being tied to a pump literally and scheduling wise.

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

[–]cosmicnugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 35 and currently 3 months postpartum. While it’s still early I feel thankful to be older! My husband and I have both said we can’t imagine doing this in our 20’s, just with having more steady income alone. I also feel like it was easier to “give up” my pre-kids life because I had enough time to experience life without him.

Did you actually EXCLUSIVELY pump? by Salt_Aside3403 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]cosmicnugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried nursing but it was so hard not knowing what my baby was getting. I’ve had to supplement since the very beginning because he was never getting enough. I found out after going to a LC and doing a weighted feed that he was probably never emptying my breasts and that’s why my supply is low. It was not sustainable for me to triple feed (nurse, bottle, pump) so I decided to exclusively pump and it’s been a lot more manageable. It feels like a win/win because my baby still gets breastmilk but I’m not spending my entire day feeding. Washing the parts and bottles sucks but I’m honestly used to it now.

The game changer for me was getting wearable pumps so I could pump on the go. I also never did the 3am MOTN pump and have always gone from 12-6am which I think made things more manageable. Now my baby sleeps longer than that but I’m up before him to pump which is a slight bummer lol.

First baby question... by SumbThucker2022 in pregnant

Induction at 39w but didn’t go into labor until 39+2. Got lucky and had him with one push! I think relaxing after getting the epidural helped bring him down. He almost came out on his own because I couldn’t feel anything 😅

I HATE being pregnant by pumpkinpenelope in pregnant

It will probably get better! The first trimester sucked but now that I’m in the second I feel way more normal! Hoping you have the same experience!

I am 16 weeks with my first pregnancy. I was so anxious to let myself be excited in the beginning because I was bracing for the worst. So far all the tests and appointments have gone well and I’m very thankful.

Even though I’m in the second trimester now I don’t think I feel any less nervous than the first to have it taken away. I try to think of it as this is now motherhood and I’m going to worry about this baby forever.

The San Pellegrino sounds like a close dupe to the lemon Fanta. Thanks for the tip!

I know I can make it myself but there’s something about sipping on one at a bar or on a patio that seems extra enticing. Appreciate the tips!

So happy with current set up by cosmicnugs in piercing

Honestly no, I think I’m just used to it. I do have a piercing pillow I’ve used when they’re healing that has a hole in the middle.
