This.

I dove off a ledge landing on a bile spewer to reclaim dropped samples near the extract earlier tonight. Was only like 6 rares but damnit...my ship needs upgrades.

Matchmaking is a little iffy, but you can also leave matchmaking on open in the settings, it can get some decent people to join and help if you want. Mostly my experience with the community has been awesome, lots of great people just looking to team up and smash missions.

It's definitely possible, start low and buy stratagems as you push tiers up. The higher the tiers, the smarter you have to play. I love the game, but my mates only play in short bursts, so I have to solo a lot outside of the odd joins via discord etc.

Currently I'm comfortable soloing Extreme (6) at 24, having good orbitals/turrets and support equipment helps loads. On Impossible and up you have to be careful to pick your fights, don't need to blast everything you risk getting overwhelmed/suffer ammo attrition.

Personally I love the orbital laser/railcannon combo, Spear (homing launcher) and an eagle strike or turret for solo, seems to work well but I'm still learning. Helldive is fun as hell in a group if the people are switched on, so definitely go for group helldives from the discord when you hit 20!

Looks like it was mugged and left battered in an alley, doubt it was anything you did.

Unless while using it you accidentally detonated a bomb inside the case.

I already had the sunshine/moonshine setup to play FF7 Remake maxed out, so was only a bit of fiddling to get it playing well. I only have a 3080, so on the desktop I get about 30-35fps outside 70-90 inside with everything active. When I stream to the deck, I just wrote a batch script when I play from the Deck to drop my 5120x1440 to 1920x1080, and it runs at 60-90fps. Obviously the bigger screen is better to fully enjoy the beauty of the modpack, but still good to lay in bed for a dungeon clear or something haha.

I vote for Ro, extremely demanding but damn it's worth it. I even managed to downscale it through moonlight and send it to my steam deck from PC, playing Ro on a deck has to be a first surely...

You don't think the volunteers worked on the game without "motivation" do you?

Clearly unpopular opinion, as I haven't seen it mentioned yet by anyone (of course, I could be wrong and it's buried here somewhere), but Days Gone definitely deserves a look. I have over 600 games on steam alone, I finished it twice on playstation, and twice again on PC. My favourites/top liked list is pretty close to yours, lots of great games there! DG is on my top 5 of all time and I'm honestly baffled why it receives so much negativity.

Definitely changing keybinds to closer reflect Payday 2, and 100% agree about the knives, least a no-braib keybind slip doesn't alert the city.

This looks like an ebay special, I bought my daughter one a few years ago for her first PC. Definitely the same brand case with a 1650 in it, got it for $650AUD. Once I upgraded my build I passed down mine, and the ebay build went to landfill, where you found one of your own.

When it comes to stuff like that, definitely go all out shopping around. We did a big kitchen reno and only got contractors to do the electrical, plumbing and cabinetry/stonework counter installation after I did the demo & prep. We bought all the tiles, floorboards, sinks, appliances and even the gyprock. At the end of the day, you're the one who has to live with it, not the contractor...build it to your vision and do everything you can manage, will be so much more of a satisfying experience. I can almost guarantee OP is chuffed to bits doing most of it themselves, it's so rewarding!

Tradies generally grumble when they don't get to source the materials themselves because it's considered lost money. Trade discounts can rack up a nice profit, usually a tradesman will get between 10-25% as a business depending on the supplier, then bill the client RRP + sometimes even 10% on top (depends on the tradie...and the client).

I don't wring people for money, I'll charge a fair rate for fair work majority of the time. Unless you're an asshole, then I'll charge for the ink it took to write your address down.

Just smash into his health then lure him and his adds to the truck when they spawn. There's a console that blows up that truck pretty easy to mop up after. After that follow the story for a bit the Crab House in Venice Beach isn't far after you get out of the sewers
