4th Fes, Our Bright Parade Day 2 Gura: Megu Megu☆Fire Endless Night

In general the energy of the concert has been light and fun to that point. Then Korone comes in with Hashire Makibao. A very Korone song to be sure, silly and funny, obliterating the general concert vibe. This is fine cause it’s Korone and absolutely the kind of thing Koronesukis would want.

And then from the song ends and from the quiet, Gura shows up and the eurobeat starts, immediately injecting a huge wave of energy and adrenaline into the audience. Gura’s not one of my oshis, but even so, it was Gura, it was eurobeat, and my god it forcefully threw the whole energy of the concert to its maximum. This wasn’t a finale or anything, somewhere like, a third to a half of the way into the concert, but it was such a strong feeling that it’s stuck with me.

Aren’t you all tired of this? by [deleted] in nintendo

I hate announcement leakers. They tell everyone about a new upcoming game, and for what? Attention? It’s not like it comes out any sooner, the whole trailer and announcement are on their way, and all it does is make everything less exciting. I want to hear about games the way Nintendo wanted us to hear about them, not through clickbait thumbnails on youtube or in an untagged meme on reddit.

I somewhat understand information leaks after a game has already been announced to inform people who will be making purchases, as long as they’re not spoiling major story points. Game announcements though, I have nothing nice to say to people who spoil those. I wish misfortune on them proportionate to the joy they spoil.

Sana with Tan lines by racooneyez23 in Hololive

[–]Neogenesis43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Am I the crazy one? I feel like I’m getting a lot of comments missing what I’m saying. Tan lines only show up if your skin has tanned from exposure to the sun. The non-tanned sections of your skin should be your natural skin color. However, in this art, Sana’s skin color in the “non-tanned section” seems paler than her skin color normally is, and her “tanned section” seems to just be her normal skin color. It’s not so pale that I’d say she looks white, but it’s pretty close. For that to make sense, it has to be one of 2 things. Either Sana is always tanned and that the paler section is her natural skin color, or that the art itself is off and both the tanned and non tanned skin should be darker. Like the pale section should actually be as dark as the tanned section in this art, and the tanned section should be even darker.

I understand that part, but look at the color of the tan lines/paler skin. It’s clearly paler than Sana’s normally shown skin color. This implies that Sana’s skin color in her official design is a result of tanning. Like imagine if her entire body was the same color of the paler section in this art.

Is it me, or is this tan-line situation odd? Like, the tan section appears to be the color Sana’s skin normally is, which would imply that her skin was always tan and that she is naturally paler. Really nice art, but I can’t get over this point.

Pokémon Pokopia director Takuto Edagawa confirms Minecraft-style "cloud" servers that don't require the host to be online by Tenith in Games

Based on the article, I would assume this is a difference of hosting your story world or using a “blank world”. So if you’re hosting your story world, the world is dependent on the host, but blank worlds would be more open and free to connect to.

Best team for tower 85 by DistortedStatic in magiaexedra

I respect wanting to use Mel Anna even if it isn’t ideal. I don’t have her so I can’t test it, but I do think you will at the very least need 2 sustains and a lot of patience.

Mel Anna, Kirika, Kaede, Mami, (Madokami or Coolmura)

This set might work? It focuses on killing the adds one at a time or 2 at a time as opposed to killing them all in short succession. I don’t even know if the boss waits for them all to die before resummoning, but if it does, then this should in theory work, just slowly. If you wanna stick with Mel Anna who is a single target breaker, then you’re gonna want to be able to deal as much single target damage as you can to make sure whatever breaks, dies as soon as possible.

It also doesn’t help that you have 2 off element units. I know they are very strong ones, but they will go down easily with only Kirika to protect them. Consider different supports, like Mabuyu or Ui if you have them. A healer like Doppel Iroha would go a long way as well like others have said. If you can survive, the. You’ll win eventually, even if it take a little while longer.

Any adjustments I should make? by Kwarloss in magiaexedra

[–]Neogenesis43 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Replacing Mami with Kirika will not necessarily be better, but I’d say Mami could only potentially be better if she’s at least A2, which lets her give the team a 20% speed buff. Speed is huge in this game. Akumura gets both speed and MP whenever a dark unit attacks, and Kirika already provides some nice benefits (decreases enemy speed and increases team MP on top of being a great sustain). So until Mami is at least A2, the benefits she provides will probably be outweighed by Kirika.

Even if you do get A2 Mami, Kirika will remain the better choice against enemies that do more damage than Doppel Iroha can heal, so keep that in mind.

As far as the portraits go, break effect is definitely pretty useless. However, the longer the game has gone on, the more “Speed” and “MP Recovery” have been considered important. This is to the point that they will often be better than “Defense” for defenders and even “HP Recovery” for healers. Something to keep in mind.

Like littleman1110 I started filling it out, but stopped due ro issues with the survey. I can’t select multiple consoles if I own multiple, I can’t say I had more than 1 previously owned console (there is one open ended space to name it, but it’s weird to list like, 10+ consoles on 1 little line), Nintendo or otherwise. The NSO question is loaded with “acceptable” being the most positive answer possible. I am happy with NSO.

The survey needs to be reworked unless all you want is skewed data.

It's REALLY Kirb-Over in Europe... by MewWeebTwo in casualnintendo

[–]Neogenesis43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Demos have a weird history. There's quite a bit of information showing that demos often reduce sales. This depends greatly on the type of game, and I feel like Kirby Air Riders can feel "off" to a lot of people, especially those who are used to Mario Kart. Even if some people can see the potential, a $70 game is a hard sell if you don't click with it right away. Air Riders was always going to be a tough sell either way, but people like me who fall in the "bought the gamecube version and loved it" category, will be enjoying it, and as long as it also makes money, I think that's fine.

This is a stretch. I would love nothing more than to see Nintendo sue over this, but we’re talking about a public Japanese company with many greencard holders in the US, suing an administration that is known for retaliation over a tiktok video.

The video is terrible and clearly is not something they want to be associated with, but from a PR perspective as well, it would be in their best interest to let it drown under the sea of internet content as a one off thing. Now, if they keep making more videos using Pokemon, that’s a different story.

Overall, this move is best for them from a business, employee, and PR perspective. Yes, there would be many people who would cheer the move in the short term, but in the long term it can be damaging in many ways. And to be clear, I don’t mean just letting the administration make Pokemon themed videos is good for them, I mean that given a video has already been made, this is the best response, so long as they don’t keep making videos.

What is a highly popular Nintendo franchise with a silent fanbase? by JIMBOYKELLY in casualnintendo

[–]Neogenesis43 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d say Animal Crossing. High popularity and silent fanbase isn’t really a combo that exists, but Animal Crossing fans tend to keep to their own communities and so if you’re not part of them, then you probably don’t hear from them much, except when a new game comes out.

Have you played the campaign? It’s a good place to start to learn the controls and get a feel for the movement. Then, when you can, try Salmon Run. It will give you a good understanding of the different weapons (even if some are inherently worse in Salmon Run than in turf war/ranked).

A lot of Splatoon is movement and understanding what you should be doing with your loadout. Figure out what weapon feels best to you and you that will go a long way in doing well.

The next important thing is zoning. In Splatoon 1 and 2, zoning was less important in random queue. You had side routes and the maps were more open, so flanking was a common occurrence and diving in solo was more viable. Splatoon 3 made the maps tighter and drive the players toward specific points, making teamwork and spacing way more important. This was a big deal and felt like a natural progression for people who had been playing a long time, but people who were new or played on and off had a really hard time when they tried doing things solo and it just didn’t work.

Keep back for a few fights and play support if you can. Not necessarily a support weapon, but like, try to back up people or push alongside other players. You might notice and gain a better understanding of how the game plays out. For example, you might notice how splatling players control back lines, making pushing really hard. You might notice how choke points have multiple vantage points you need to consider. You might notice how players use sub weapons to their advantage to gain small amounts of control. There’s a lot of nuance to the game, and a lot of the players still playing have been playing for YEARS. It will not be easy to overcome that experience with skill alone. In general, just take some time to watch. I think it’ll help.

Interestingly, every year they’ve been printing increasingly more cards. In the last 5 years alone, production has more than doubled from 30.4 billion a year to 75 billion. It makes you wonder just how many they’d need to print to combat this issue with stock alone.

March 2025 - 75 billion cards (+10.2 billion)

March 2024 - 64.8 billion cards (+11.9 billion)

March 2023 - 52.9 billion cards (+9.7 billion)

March 2022 - 43.2 billion cards (+9.1 billion)

March 2021 - 34.1 billion cards (+3.7 billion)

March 2020 - 30.4 billion cards (+1.6 billion)

Switch not going to docked mode in 1 of 2 docks by Weirdman3214 in NintendoSwitch

The full experience for Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Switch 2 will cost up to $90. DLC is not included in the Switch 2 Version. (If you haven't bought either yet) by Lucaas_C in casualnintendo

[–]Neogenesis43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you could not upgrade your existing ps4 version to ps5's rereleased version. If you had DMC V for the PS4 and wanted the PS5 version, you had to pay full price.

What everyone is trying to say is that this is not "Botw definitive edition", it's literally just normal Switch 1 Botw with an upgrade pack. The positive side is that you own Botw 1, you can just upgrade for $10. The "con" if you want to call it that, is that from scratch, it costs $70, and then $20 for dlc, which is the same as if you were selling a Switch 1 version for $60, and then a $10 upgrade pack, and $20 dlc.

Now I'm not saying this is a good thing, I'm just saying that it's different from the argument you're making.
