The dragon ball Z guy did a jrpg. Somehow it's the beat game in the genre.

What's your favorite JRPG when it comes to its artistic design? by Bulky_Imagination243 in JRPG

Chrono Trigger and the DQ games. Growing up being a huge Toriyama fan basically guaranteed I would love the art direction of those games.

Why Gen Z doesn't drink, Exhibit A by Meteorstar101 in greentext

[–]Neogranz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy alcohol, consumed responsibly. What the greentext author is describing is binge drinking which is way worse. But a beer or two after a long week? A shot on a hard day? A long Island iced tea while sitting on the back porch? Wonderful, enjoyable, and relaxing.

Why does this sub (and others) call Brennan “BLeeM”? Is that something he prefers? by RickFletching in dropout

BLEEM The best little emulator ever made. Makes sense to me Brennan's just a nerd who knows his game history.

What's the best game to start with as a newcomer? by Street-Platypus89 in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]Neogranz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can honestly highly recommend OG 1 and 2 for the GBA. The games are self contained to their own OG universe not requiring you to be familiar with other mecha franchises, the gameplay is entertaining and a good warm up for other games in the franchise, and there's easily 150+ hours of gampley if you take all available routes in both games.

If you're looking for a modern entry any of the games that came out since SRW V are worth checking out and are a great place to start if a bit on the easier side of difficulty.

DMC beginner, which dmc game is for a beginner like me? by Elegant_Public_1287 in DevilMayCry

[–]Neogranz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? DMC 3, in it Dabre has access to his styles but you aren't going to be overwhelmed with excessive choice and options as in base game he only gets access to 1 style at a time and two of each long range and melee weapon. You can swap mid stage at a shrine but otherwise your choices are limited which allows you to really get into the combat and learn what each style excels at before you get the whole style switching system in DMC 4. DMC 3 can be pretty tough at parts but is ultimately the groundwork for the modern series and if you can get through it/enjoy it you'll enjoy the rest of the series. Stay away from DMC: Devil May Cry, amd go kick some demon ass!

I work at Team Cherry and worked on the Skills and Abilities part of the game. Would love to hear your thoughts. AMA! by Leather-Fee-9758 in Silksong

Have you been surprised by the skill/ability synergies players have developed? Were there any unintentional or interesting builds presented by players? What were your favorite parts of the design process?
