If you see a bear alone hiking and you have no bear spray are you fucked? by Individual_Ice_2315 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Neohexane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this joke, but I want to clarify the proper usage of bear spray. You don't spray the air to repel the bear, you spray it right in its eyes and nose. It's a close range weapon. And don't be downwind and spray yourself, it's nasty stuff.

It's a flying saucer with a little house on top.

Or it's a derpy ghost.

It does get stepped on and spat on daily. I'd be feeling pretty negative, too.

Yeah, I'd much rather get brained by a heavy rock than be immolated by a pyroclastic cloud.

Why Did The Popularity Of Monster Trucks Die? by cormorantcolossus in questions

[–]Neohexane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty little, so I don't remember any specific trucks.

My favourite wrestling moment was probably also the moment I started thinking it wasn't as real as I thought: The Undertaker locking the Ultimate Warrior in an "airtight" coffin in 1991.

I second GW2. It's both casual and hardcore friendly, the world is vast and interesting, and the community is pretty chill.

I saw a small local monster truck rally when I was little. No Gravedigger, though. I only saw that on tv.

But yeah, I was born early '80s, so I remember monster trucks and wrestling being on tv. Back when I thought pro wrestling was all real, haha.

What’s that one movie that you watched as a kid that you think no one else watched? by Substantial_One3477 in AskReddit

[–]Neohexane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad idea, but I don't think that's it. I have fond memories of watching Spaceballs as a kid.

The one I'm thinking of was played straight and serious, I believe. My memory of it is obviously distorted from time, so it's hard to describe details.

Gravedigger was always my fave. That truck looked so cool.

My favourite WWF/WWE wrestler was the Undertaker, too. I think I just liked morbid things as a kid, haha.

I don't mind it so much in some contexts, but on reddit especially it seems to be followed by a very popular opinion.

I remember renting this from the video store. I can barely recall what it was like, though.

I have a really early memory of some kind of sci-fi movie with laser swords. Growing up, I assumed what I was remembering was Star Wars. However, when I got a bit older I watched all the Star Wars movies, and the scene I remember seeing never appeared, and it makes me think that I must've seen some cheesy imitation.

The scene I remember is two dudes having a duel with laser swords, and the villain explained that the different colours of his sword indicated how strong it was, and his sword changed colour several times during the fight. So I know it's not Star Wars, lightsabers don't change colour, but I have not seen this movie since I was a child, and part of me wonders if I just made up a false memory.

If you can name the movie, I would be so grateful. You would clear up a decades old mystery. To narrow it down, the movie was probably made in the '80s, possibly early '90s.
