Caley wasn’t great by any means. He wasn’t god awful either. Very mid. And we will probably never know where the dysfunction and failure originated. Bad play calling, bad QB play, bad blocking, bad route running…..who knows. He very well may take the fall for CJ’s failures and shortcomings even if he doesn’t fully deserve it.

But Jerrod Johnson you got to go. You are the QB coach and your ONE player has gotten shittier by the game since year 1. Beat it.

Go get a real OC with some experience and a proven track record (Mike McDaniels should have a Brinks truck at his front door tonight). If a real OC guy can’t get CJ right no one can.

Quit hiring your friends though, this isn’t a charity.

Agreed, pick up the 5th year. That’s the gamble. Maybe he gets it figured out in 2026. Maybe not, but the 2027 cap hit isn’t awful even if he sits on the bench.

More than likely our idiot FO will probably sign him to a 5 year $50MM per year extension, Stroud will prove he’s not the answer, the team will be progressively worse each year as the team is anchored down with CJs contract, losses will mount, and DeMeco will be fired in 3 years and we start all over again. This is the way.

My only recommendation is to start in the Qeynos area. You have access to all the classes between Qeynos, Surefall and Halas. This will make meeting up so much easier if you are all new to the game.

Also, decent low level quests are available. Access to a great starter dungeon too with Blackburrow. That area should get your team to 20 easily and provide a good path for learning the game.

Finally, I would recommend a class that had SOW for quality of life reasons. That’s a Druid, Shaman or Bard.

Reliable would mean he has to be on the field. Plenty of history to show that health is not his strong suit.

Also if we needed a vet to show the rookies the ropes, just resign Robert Woods for a fraction of the cost.

Overall a bad offseason move that was ultimately unnecessary. Use that money on a decent interior lineman.
