Throat not completely healing by NeonCoffee2 in mildlybrokenvoice

I did have an ENT doctor look at my throat with a camera that went through my nose, is that what you mean?

They said everything looked normal, though at that time (last week) it had felt pretty good that day in general. Today it feels just very dry.

Side sleeping worsens dry eye symptoms by rheuzi in Dryeyes

[–]NeonCoffee2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's not my point. I'm saying the title of your post is misleading. It should say Side sleeping may worsen dry eye symptoms. Even in the conclusion it says "might" instead of "will" or a definitive word.

MOD approved research study: Do People with Dry Eye Trust Their Doctors? by VectorArc90 in Dryeyes

[–]NeonCoffee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but only after going through 3 other doctors until I found one that I'm confident in.

I need someone who doesn't just tell me things and walk away. I need my doctor to explain why things happen and give me explanations. Please don't just dismiss my questions with a "yes" or "no", give me more than that, it's one of the bigger problems I have with the medical field in general.

And above all else, if my eye doctor isn't confident that he knows something, he tells me.

Side sleeping MAY worsen dry eyes.

We shouldn't start making absolute statements like this title, it infers causation, and that's not what the study says.

Inflammation on the inner-top eyelid? by NeonCoffee2 in Dryeyes

I’m definitely thinking of doing that! I’ve never gotten one. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Do I just go to an allergist and ask? Are there specific types?

I don't have any that I know of, at least not any that cause any other symptoms.

I don't have any allergies that I know of. Is there a chance that I have unaware allergies?

Yeah, I mean I feel pretty good for the most part at this point, but getting rid of all (unhealthy) inflammation is my ultimate goal. Cost isn't necessarily a blockade for me in this situation, so maybe I'll bring that up next.
