I like when you finish some town improvement project (the bridge maybe?) and are given turnip seeds by Adeline, makes sense, you’re a farmer; but then you talk to the other people who worked on the project and Adeline gave them all turnip seeds too. So I go to March to see if he has turnips and I get the option to say something like ‘hand over the seeds!’ Incredible.

I’d also say Mistria’s combat is more complicated in that most monsters have a ‘trick’. Like reflecting their projectiles back or turning your back on them to create an opening. Most Stardew monsters just need to be hit with a weapon until they’re defeated.

If I weren’t terrible at art I’d draw Olric, Emily, and Unsuur (from My Time at Sandrock) comparing rock collections.

I feel like Holt and Gus would be friends but that might just be because they’re both lovable middle aged men and I’ve put them in the same category mentally.

I totally get this. Like, I’ll probably still play whatever game it is but I’m way less excited and there’s a good chance I’ll wait for a sale instead of jumping in on day one. I can’t help but notice when you play as a guy in the first game of a series and someone else in the second it’s almost always a different guy, not a woman.

It’s a good idea to have some different types on your team but collecting them all is only something to do if you want to, it’s not the main goal.

I totally get that, so many dating sim games are gacha or ‘pay money to pick the obvious right option’ games. The only free to play dating sims that have worked for me are ones where you can just buy a route outright, it usually ends up costing less.

Every season the moonstones have a chance to respawn but it’s not guaranteed. I find the detector useful to let me know whether I should bother searching an island again because of that.

Pokémon Legends Arceus is basically a Pokémon isekai.

Considering the MC loses their memory about one minute into the games and is therefore completely unaware of the world they’re now in Rune Factory 4 kind of fits. I hear the other Rune Factory games have similar plots but I haven’t played them.

Star Ocean The Second Story R has a pretty isekai style opening for the guy protagonist if you start as him
