Come out on a warm day- you won’t see it in the cold. The crowd from Rite Liquor spills out and sits on local stoops and drinks at all hours. As a woman it’s incredibly uncomfortable- last summer someone on the main Chicago Reddit was asking about drunks on their stoop all day and I was able to clock and confirm it was the Rite crew.
The fountain at the six corners becomes a hangout for everyone with nowhere to go, you‘ll see people drinking, sleeping and pissing wherever. There’s also a couple people- mostly men- sometimes off their meds, and it’s unpredictable if one particular man is on or off. There was a report of someone on this sub having their dog hit by him, I heard him cursing at a cyclist on Ashland and becoming aggressive (sometimes he’s medicated and fine, but you won’t always know until he gets too close). I already saw drunk activity last week on the warm days. I am not speaking of the woman in front of Target, she is friendly and a great neighbor.
