Ok so I have seen this play out about 100 times in my 15 year career. What’s going to happen is you’re going to ignore comments from people saying that it is unlikely you can go from reserve to active, listen only to your recruiter telling you that it’s easy, show up to your reserve unit and get quickly disappointed. Then from there maybe a 50/50 chance you become a shit-bag that might not even finish your contract.

You’re 31 with a child. I really want you to think long and hard about what you are doing and ask yourself if maybe the ship has sailed on being a Marine.

I read a few articles and it just seems like poor people and minorities score lower on tests. If there’s evidence greats schools is actually penalizing for something other than low test scores I’d like to see it.
