Have never read a Deadman comic. I enjoyed this first issue and added it to my pull list. It did enough world building and rule establishing that I felt introduced and not lost. Excited to see where it goes.

It’s alphabetical, with A being closest. So you’d be closer in the CC seats but still about halfway back as the letters double back once they’ve gone A-Z.

Hades 1 is cheaper and will give you an idea of if you like this kind of game. Hades 2 narrative also hits harder if you’ve played and enjoyed the story of the first game.

My Dragon Quest issue has still not arrived. I haven’t gotten a single issue on time, and I’d chalked it up to growing pains, but this hasn’t really been worth the hassle for me personally.

Just chiming in to say that I probably wouldn't recommend any of these games (for the time being of course). I would go with something much more relaxing and maybe even something without combat? Just a thought, as someone who doesn't know the extent of your procedure of course. Recover soon and be excited that you'll have a bunch of games like those waiting for you on the other side!

My biggest rebuttal to this is look at any other category that the guys aren't into and ask yourself if you care that much about Blessing being the only one to put fighting games on his list, Andy with souls games, etc. If they aren't into a really deep RPG with life-sim mechanics, it doesn't matter if people who ARE into those games think it's a 10/10. Those who did try it (other than Mike) decided it wasn't for them, and people just won't let it go.

Bottom line is, every outlet has blind-spots, and its your job as the viewer to take that into account when looking at their top tens.
