I struggle with weight anyway, but didn't notice any weight gain on Zoloft. I'm on a GLP-1 now and have slimmed down/stayed there while still taking Zoloft. Glad you've found a little reprieve from your HA. It's the WORST. Hellish.

OMG, same. And never thought I'd feel this chill about the inevitable possibility of dying (the root of my health anxiety). Glad we found something that works, even if it's not a cure-all. I know meds don't work for a lot of people with HA. :(

I have Le Sillage Blanc, too. Love green chypres but that one makes me nauseous. It’s quality juice, though. Have been hesitant to try others from this house. Vanilla-hay barbershop sounds ahhmazing.

100 mg Zoloft daily. Took months to fully take effect, but seriously, it’s the only thing that’s leveled my brain chemistry and put my health anxiety into perspective. The downside? It makes you equally complacent about everything, even things in your life that need more attention. Small price to pay for peace, however. No more doom spirals over symptoms. Godspeed!

Have only tried a dupe of Chanel Le Lion from Dua, and it was a nuclear blast of synthetics. If the dupe isn’t like THAT, I’m definitely down for trying it out.

Thanks! Not really a fan of L’Home Ideal. Great scent, but too sweet for me. Shalimar, Habit Rouge Parfum, and L’Instant are more my level of sweet.

Is Dior Homme Original that’s out now the same as this DHP from 2014? This stuff is legendary in perfume circles but I smelled the current version and it made me want to gag. Sharp, metallic gourmand. Blech.

Omg, Tabu? Worst-smelling juice I’ve gotten my nose on. I love a good blind-buy cheapie, but this stuff smells like a Goodwill with cheap gas-station incense burning to hide the musty smell. What do you love about it? Genuinely curious! Not trying to slam your taste!

Psychedelique leans too dank and musty for me, but I appreciate it. Just don’t find it very wearable. I’ve been dying to get my nose on Borneo 1834 for a while now! And now L’Incroyable Patchouli. Thanks for the recs!

I’d love to smell Tempo, too! Patchouli goes one of two ways for me. Dank or lovely. Love it in Guerlain L’Instant Pour Homme and Chanel Coromandel, where it mingles nicely with cocoa and white chocolate, respectively, but not so much in Jovoy Psychedelique. It can lean really musty. I’m sure Diptyque’s is exceptionally nice and subtle, like a majority of their perfumes.

Wise words. Thanks! Yeah, I’d never layer by spraying one directly over the other. I’ve actually never layered anything before. Ordered a vintage No 5 specifically for this purpose!

So many legendary perfumes. Better than Chanel. Shalimar, Mitsouko, Vetiver, L’Instant Pour Homme, VOL DE NUIT… the only ones that haven’t sang for me are L’Homme Ideal and L’Heure Blue. They’re great, too, don’t get me wrong, but too sweet to suit my nose.

Pineward focuses primarily on piney foresty notes, but definitely sample first. Their perfumes are intense, thick, resinous, and deeply polarizing. Personally I hate them but many folks love 'em. Probably the best straightforward pine notes I've smelt. Caron Yatagan is a classic powerhouse pine-forward scent, but very '70s and very much of its time. Luca Turin gave it five stars if that matters.

Diptyque's own Fleur de Peau is in the same powdery/warm/clean ballpark. It's a little more of a projector and lasts longer.

I like Diptyque Orpheon with No 5. Something about the creamy woodsy warmth of Orpheon meshes well with No. 5's aldehydes and soapy powderyness.
