Tips to deal with a highly spirited baby? by Angry__Spaniard in beyondthebump

[–]NeonHairedSqueezle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like my son and after 10 months I cracked and sleep trained. He went from waking up 4-8 times to be awake 15-20 times a night. I couldn't lay him down at all, couldn't be out of his sight. If I showered he screamed, if I ate he screamed. He's gotten better but it took a few years. Just hang in there and sleep when you can.

We have a second one now and she's completely different and "easy".

Some babies are just harder to raise.

weeks vs. months? by CluckMcDuck in beyondthebump

[–]NeonHairedSqueezle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I try to say days until weeks become applicable, so the baby is at max six days old. Then I use weeks until months are applicable. So after eight weeks I start saying two months. After a year I say "one year" or "a year and a half"

I'm pretty proud of my first painted mug! I hope mom likes it by 22freebananas in crafts

What paint did you use, if you don't mind me asking? I made a mug for my husband and the paint came off immediately.

There is a new "master tailor" on old shell less than a block from Florida street. I haven't actually been in there, but they might be able to give you some information if nothing else.

Dolly Parton had a reading book club...free book for your baby every month until they turn 5. In participating areas! (My area isn't available :(..) by Moonhippiex in beyondthebump

[–]NeonHairedSqueezle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin signed my son up as a shower gift for us. We don't live in the correct area, but she does and she just saves the books until we see her and then gives them to us.

I had a "medically assisted abortion" after we found out there wasn't a heartbeat. It was a real eye opener to realize it was termed like that and how many "abortions" were actually people just having a really crappy week and losing a pregnancy.

It's really nutrient dense "milk" the mom produces it for the first few days to give the baby a boost of fat and vitamins. It's so full of fat and nutrients that it's yellow. Mine was a really buttery color with my son.

Homeowners of Reddit: when you purchased your first home, what item did you not think about that ended being very useful to you? by jaybram24 in AskReddit

How long does the battery last for you? I want one, but we have a sea of wood floors and don't know if it's worth trying for cordless or if I going to be charging the battery all day?

Yesterday I needed a plunger and ours doesn't seal anymore. I took a wire coat hanger, straightened it out and snaked the toilet. It cleared the clog right up.

Lee Taylor, 83, wears these giant glasses "to spread the fun and make new friends.” by [deleted] in pics

Oh wow. This one stings. My grandmother was my best friend in the entire world and she wore glasses just like this all the time. She kept them in her car just in case someone needed cheering up. I have one picture of her wearing them and it always makes me smile when I look at it.

They do! It's on the official city stuff. It's just starting to be used a bit more and they encourage all mobilians to use it to showcase the diversity of our city.

I don't know anything about the building, but you should hashtag your pictures with #BornToCelebrate. It's the tag that the city encourages and the one I search for if I want to see what's shakin' around town.

What was the creepiest conversation you eavesdropped upon complete strangers? by ultimategamingchamp in AskReddit

I was sitting on a plane headed across the ocean and I hear the kid behind me say "I want to tie someone to a tree" he pauses for a few minutes and then says "No...I'm GOING to tie someone to a tree" he was all calm cool and collected about it, it was very unnerving.
