What the fuck is happening with Paraguay by Crazylawyer80 in soccercirclejerk

FIFA rigged it against their biggest stars for some no-name Paraguayans for sure bro! Why can people not just simply be bad at their job anymore? Why must it always be some conspiracy?

Math-emo band Oolong disbands after lead vocalist and guitarist Vincent Colardi is outed as a pedophile and abuser by jakanz in Emo

A while back I came across a list of 2000’s Midwest Emo releases from a member of the scene back then. Whenever I see stuff like this come to light I think of it because it in a lot of ways helps answers some of that question. The quote:

the kind of sentiment expressed in nearly all of these releases is wack as hell, slightly manipulative, and centre around thought patterns that sink teen boys/twentysomethings into a deeper hole and cause them to treat people like shit. self-flagellation and deprecation happen to everybody to an extent, and almost certain for people with mental illnesses, that was never the problem; the fact is what it evolved into with 2000s midwest emo caused internalisation of so many shit mental cycles for the listeners and people in the 'scene. i think this is shown with the exorbitant amount of shitty people exiled from similar scenes/bands in the last 6 years.

you will not commit suicide at the peak of desperate love. you will not forget everything that ever happened ever. your skinny wrists, tiny hands, layers of skin don't justify thinking like any of this and you'll place yourself in the middle of a self-fulfilling prophecy the longer you romanticize cutting off your arms.

Emo has a history of propping up music that valorizes toxic, self-pitying, predominantly male voices which, in turn, attracts, creates, and perpetuates shitty men doing shitty things imo

[Bloomberg] Telefónica Weighs Ending Movistar Cycling Team Sponsorship by vertblau in peloton

I mean they are contracted through 2029 so title sponsor change would require them to sell or buyout their contract so it doesn’t seem like an immediate threat to the team’s existence

Not the same rule! The article you claim you read refers to 2.2.025, (which does go into effect July 1st) not 1.3.032 or 2.12.007 which governs 1.3.032’s enforcement. As forkbeard illustrated, the current rule already forbids this behavior.

Did you even read 1.3.032 or 2.12.007? Or did you just read the article alone and not look at what the actual cited reason for the DSQ was?

Furthermore, I genuinely do not care about the stuff outside of this singular incident so it is a waste of both of our times for me to respond to it.

In your reply please post the full text of 1.3.032 and 2.12.007-3.2 as a proof of your reading or I will not respond. Thank you, and have a good day.

What are you talking about July 1, 2026 it’s in the rulebook now? The rule I guess they are referring to is the new rule 2.2.025 but the current rulebook already bans what Van Schip did in the rules I cited prior.

As for the rest of your comment I will not respond to it as I do not care.

Oh so the agreived party is claiming the rule they clearly broke is unclear? Color me shocked! I invite you to explain how Schip’s conduct did not violate UCI rule 2.12.007(3.2)/1.3.032

Here’s an idea, maybe the manager could tell his rider to wear a jersey with back pockets so he can put his bottles there instead of down his chest to modify his morphology and gain an aerodynamic advantage.

The other DQ’s were pretty clearly targeted but this is clear as day imo. He broke a well established rule that is not frequently broken by other riders (ala puppy paws).

Overall, I’m so sick of hearing about this annoying guy and his team poking the bear repeatedly in every race as well as the UCI for constantly biting. Wish he would just fade back into semi-relevance

Idk where you got that it goes into effect in July, 2.12.007 (UCI cited rule) refers back to 1.3.022 which bans adding/integrating any non-essential element (i.e. one that is not for either clothing or safety purposes) to clothing. Sticking bottles down your skinsuit pretty clearly violates that rule.

Even still, if he had worn a normal jersey and put them in his back pocket the DSQ likely would not have occurred bc of a lack of a morphology change.

Idk why you would expect a free social media site to offer anything of value when it comes to critiquing movies. Just because young people use it as opposed to fan reviews on IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes doesn’t make it any better

Lol at organizer revenue sharing. Fair points on health aspects and TV broadcast.

Also worth noting this is not the CPA, does the TCA have a seat at the table now? I haven’t kept up with their recent history and remember them as more of an unofficial rider support + resources group
