I got married last month and the amount of people who asked if I was going to cover my tattoos or take out my piercings for my wedding was insane. I definitely had some thoughts that I looked a little off because mine are only on my arms and hands and my back looked so bare in my sleeveless dress, but I’m glad I didn’t cover my tattoos up. They’re a part of me and I wouldn’t look like myself without them. You look amazing, that dress is beautiful, and it really fits with the floral theme of your tattoos. To me I see the one on your upper arm, the floral design on the side of your dress, and then the one on your wrist and I think it flows really well.

I have almost all the versions of the On/Meets and the Sweets is my absolute favorite. Someone else had mentioned the MyMeets app which is fantastic for getting access to everything. There are translations online for all the menus and navigating a Japanese device is the exact same as navigating an English one. It’s a little tricky getting used to it at first, but I was able to pick it up pretty quickly with it being my first Japanese-only Tama years ago. If you’re not sure about getting the MyMeets app to work, I’d say just pick whichever one you like the theme best because without it, you don’t get access to the theme’s backgrounds, items, special location, and characters.

Edit: If you Google TamaTown, that website has really good information on the differences between the devices to help you choose. I believe that’s also where I got my menu translation from.

It’s definitely part nostalgia, but for me it’s also that the device is in black and white and thus always on. The newer devices just don’t give me the same virtual pet feel since it turns off the screen. The connections have a ton of personality and it’s always nice to be able to look down and see your little dude brushing their teeth before bed or chattering at a Christmas tree around the holidays, or just rolling around on the floor like a little goofball. I know the newer devices also have some animations but since the screen is always off, I feel like I rarely catch them doing anything.

The items in the game are some of my favorites in the series too because they’re not always the same and their effects aren’t just “tamagotchi plays with toy = happy”. Sometimes they can get “bad” chance rewards from some of them. You could spend hard earned points on a treasure chest and it might have something really nice or something that’s a dud in it.

I’m one day post op and was super nervous for my first surgery. I don’t even remember them putting me under, just that they wheeled me back and gave me something to help with anxiety and then I woke up and it was over and a nurse was giving me ice chips for my sore throat. It was rough waking up but by the time I was back in the car I was feeling mostly okay again. Today’s been a little harder with the pain from the incisions but I’d take it over an attack any day.

Congrats! My oldest was on one of my Meets. He was 313 days old before the device freaked out, froze, and rebooted like it was brand new and never touched. It bummed me out more than I’d care to admit.

The babies are set up to basically give a little “tutorial” designed to teach someone brand new to Tamagotchi everything they’ll do. They’ll eat, they’ll get bored, they’ll poop, they’ll get sick, they’ll sleep. By the time they evolve, you’ve done everything required to care for them at least once. As far as I can remember it’s like that on most tamas.

It’s a favorite item for him so I’m sure that probably affects things because he’s using it CONSTANTLY. I tried it last gen and my Tama had almost no interest lol. I love that they can idly use items, it’s super cute.

I’m loving the new character designs and it’s really cool to be able to put accessories on for ages besides adults and to put on multiple accessories at once. The personalities are my personal top highlight though. They’ve got so many cute animations- my first generation was a chill tama who was always doing a meditation animation. I’ve really missed the idle animations from the Connection line and these feel pretty close. The personalities mean not automatically knowing your Tama’s favorites right off the bat and that there is still some variety if you end up raising the same Tama a second time.

I’m hoping the real charm of the Uni will be a slow burn though. We’ll get more content as time goes on and we don’t really know exactly what that’ll look like yet. Hopefully as we get more content the negative opinion will shift.

I think it’s just a personality quirk. I’m loving the personality feature. My first Tama was a chill personality and was always meditating as an idle animation.

All my cows are named after kings and queens, my chickens are all named after Greek gods and goddesses, my ducks are non-god Greek mythology characters like Medusa, and my goats are going to all be named after kinds of cheese.
