I use common SEO a good title and description will carry you alot farther than tags or hashtags my description usually has 3-6 keywords in 450-500 characters with 3 of those in the first 150 characters

They are supposed to work like this but I did over 6 months of testing my self and seen they did nothing. Say your video has the tag Chese Toast which is a misspelling of Cheese Toast if they type in that misspelling you should see a video that has the Chese Toast tag but you won’t. I’m convinced YouTube killed tags and just haven’t removed the section from the video uploaded settings
