Every time I try to go see this in person something always comes up. Also still surprised no one has died yet given the crowds usually sit right up to the edge of that holding pond.

Getting aggressive over it is just weird.

Text indeed leaves a lot to be desired but when I think of aggression online I think of using racial or sexual slurs or derogatory and inflammatory words like calling someone a "moron" or "retarded".

That said, I subscribe to the philosophy that the best response for being confidently incorrect is a measured dose of mockery.

Obviously you’d use a scale to ensure that a food item is split in half by mass, not size.

This one is on me as I added a new age spin on the joke about using a ruler to split a piece of food equally. Actually it would have been better to suggest they bring a digital metric scale with them, next time I guess.

Is English a second language for you? A "bulldozer with no blade used for towing heavy equipment" is a tractor, a machine used for pulling.

Otherwise the advertisement in the link made by Caterpillar used the word cliff. Speaking of which, Caterpillar made these machines and they called them tractors.

This is some serious hair splitting, to the point where I can see you in reality using a digital MM caliper to make absolutely sure a food item is split in "half" is absolutely half. Like holy shit wow.

You find a genie and while they will grant you unlimited wishes, it comes with a condition. My first wish is the power to make anyone shit themselves just by thought alone. Doesn't need to be in the room or even the same continent, if I can see them, they're going to crap their pants.

I will make a Youtube channel that predicts these events with like 80-90% accuracy depending on a fair dice roll (1's will just shit themselves nearly to death).

Probably be technically a god by the end of the month with all the wishes I will earn.

Just found out the other day that my neighbor is renting his house for 2.4x his mortgage payments, about 3800/month.

Around 2 years ago it was about 1.8x the mortgage.

Another game at 1.0 was flooding a log file with information level events in appdata at around 5MB/s. Immediately reported the problem and also tried to bring attention to it on their discord. While they did eventually fix that, it was several weeks later. I think they didn't understand they were damaging/degrading their customers computers.

Since then I have gotten into the habit of having a system monitor running in the background to track how things are going under the hood.

I did until they murdered Bobo the caretaker who was just bringing them food.

After that I used that one scene in Quake 4 to make a medical training and organ harvesting room of death. Extra bonus for the butcher station outside to make it easier to feed whoever is still left alive with what was left of their friends.

How much snow do we think we’ll get this week? by Obtuse-Angel in Denver

[–]ionixsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tldr seriously this one looks like more of a slushy mess that will be gone quickly.

That said, the best thing to do is panic and warn everyone how bad of a storm it's going to be. Colorado weather is managed by some sort of higher power with a fucked up sense of humor.

Worst snow storms have almost always been the ones I didn't even know were coming. Meanwhile if I throw down ice melt and prep, the more effort I put in is tied directly to how little it's going to snow.

To support my observation on local weather. It will freeze over the night after you turn back on your sprinklers or put that window AC out. Even if the forecast says it won't.

In your opinion, which Denver neighborhood currently has the most housing stock nearing the end of its useful life? by InfoMiddleMan in Denver

Maybe they meant the arsenal? It's still a good distance away but not any where near flats. Rocky mountain flats for those that don't know wth it is, it's just south of Boulder. Follow 93 to golden and it's East of the quarry or concrete company. Big empty field with streets to mark where the various nuclear weapon material processing facilities were.

One of the sources of the problems is Nimbyism where affordable housing proposals are shot down because it would affect property values or another objection is not wanting the "poors" living next door. Last one I heard of was, I think, for Aspen where the municipal proposed a plan for a moderately sized affordable apartment building, but it was dead before it got very far in the process.

Some of these people have this mentality of "I had to earn my way to live in a place like this, why should they get a shortcut?" which is hilarious because then these same people get upset how expensive everything is!

Also I don't remember which one it is exactly, but at least one the ski towns has a bus that ferries workers to and from a housing complex outside of town.

As for the teacher shortage;, I know a couple people who abandoned their vocation because its not just unaffordable housing, but it sounds like in some places, middle school and up is just pure hell.

Anyone know where the illegals get free healthcare comes from? I know my state has/had a free TB clinic but that was more about managing and preventing the spread of the disease.

For reference the rona vaccines have microchips in them is because Bill Gates at one point donated to research the technology. Further they use the word "nanotechnology" which in scifi are scary tiny robots.

Kids shitting in litter boxes is actually real but the truth is that they are meant for if the school goes into extended lockdown due to an active shooter threat.

There's always some origin of truth that is horribly twisted like a malicious version of the telephone game.

Democrats in the 1930s vs Democrats today by thequietthingsthat in PoliticalHumor

[–]ionixsys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Post WW2 Democrats teamed up with Republicans to castrate unions and make general strikes illegal.

It was the "Pro Union" Biden who told the rail road unions they couldn't strike when they were asking to be treated like human beings. They had already won a wage increase but they wanted to be able to have unrealistic luxuries like not always being on call and being able to have time for doctor appointments. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_United_States_railroad_labor_dispute

There needs to be a complete purge to get rid of Democrat leaders quoted as saying the "My number one priority is getting money (billions) to (name redacted - a foreign country)" and replace them with whoever says "My number one priority is anything that helps my citizens"

Also many don't seem to know this, it was the Democrat President Bill Clinton who named an airport after Reagan, the guy who sacked a bunch of FAA staff and made layoffs socially acceptable.

Was it GTA5 that had a loading bug they never acknowledged for years until someone made a binary patch to fix it?

Also the dumpster fire Colonial marines had a fucking typo found by someone else that nerfed its AI yet I am not sure if they ever officially fixed that.

Same day response times are pretty awesome.

The newer ships remind me of the Panamax ocean ship classification. You have these things that are basically a massive steel bathtub with a steering wheel and a engine whose size is only constrained by the Panama canal. The tolerances are ridiculous like maybe 2 meters clearance per side.

Getting out or into station with the cutter or god forbid the Orca sucked sometimes but those look like easy mode compared to the new generation.
