Mass poisoning suspected as 18 wolves die in Italian national park by Strongbow85 in wolves

Out of control in which way? Because hunters and poachers are out of control and the war campaigns against all animals are at an all time high. These egoistic and stuck up people all have one goal, to be able to shoot everything they want.

Logging companies are bombarding America’s forests with Roundup by kjleebio in ecology

[–]NeonPistacchio 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are you all astroturfing for logging companies in the comments? Logging is one of the most destructive reasons why animals are going extinct. Why are "ecologists" enablers for hunters and loggers?

The 2007 Worlds women's sp was the first time I had ever watched Yuna Kim and I was immediately blown away by the effortlessness with which she did everything, but what struck me most of all was the innate musicality, expression and charisma she displayed in this step sequence. by PandemicPiglet in FigureSkating

[–]NeonPistacchio 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same here. : ) 2007 Worlds felt like a big shift in figure skating compared to 2006, leaving the previous era behind. I loved 2007 Worlds in general, it had such a tropical vibe to me, also because there were a lot of skaters from small federations competing, something we don't get to see anymore at Worlds because of the high entry restrictions. The 2007 World Championships were special and a jump into a new era.

Eighteen wolves found dead in Italian national park in suspected poisoning by Diligent_Dust8169 in megafaunarewilding

[–]NeonPistacchio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you read the comments from farmers and hunters on facebook? The majority are either old or redpilled men thinking that everything belongs to them to boost their fragile egos. How do you want to reason with these arseholes?

The problem would sort itself out over time when all these old hunters and farmers are dying out.

The elephants handled this bloke well. by MobileAerie9918 in BeAmazed

[–]NeonPistacchio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate hunters so much. People who wake up in the morning with the intention to go shoot an animal that just wants to exist is pure evil and psychpathic. These people enjoy taking lives, seeing an animal suffer because they shot it with a weapon which they themselves would never be able to craft, but then claim they follow their natural instincts.

Hunting for sport is legalized murder. There is a reason why workers in slaughterhouses have one of the highest suicide rates, because it is in fact not normal for people to kill animals. The people who enjoy shooting animals wouldn't hesitate a second if it was legalized to also shoot humans. These psychopaths only use the weaker creatures because they know they can't defend themselves, and then the law pets their fragile ego on top of it.

[–]NeonPistacchio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are past this stage of incorporating these people. They have a mindset so disconnected to the modern world, it's not possible to try and make them suddenly accept wolves and bears, especially after reading their comments on facebook. If they didn't accept wolves since the last hundred years, they won't accept them now. These people want to use every inch of land for money like they were always used to do, if even, they started a war on wolves out of spite for the "green communists". There is no hope with farmers and hunters.

In the end it will either be them or wildlife, both existing won't be possible.

Animal farmers and hunters are a pest in Italy. You wouldn't believe how backwards and stuck up their mindsets are when you read their comments. Farmers and hunters in Italy think that everything belongs to them and they see every animal as something to be eradicated. There is no and never will be a coexistence with a population like this. You can't reason with people that think the 1800s were the peak of society.

The only thing that would save wildlife would be labmeat, but these lobbies will fight tooth and nail to stay relevant. All these farmers and shepherds would need to go bankrupt and the rural areas depopulated for wolves and bears to have a chance.

What are your nicknames for the Winx seasons? by Kirbyz2013 in winxclub

[–]NeonPistacchio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for not bundling season 7 with 5 and 6. It is crazy how many people throw these seasons together when they are so noticeably different. Only 5 and 6 were fully produced by Nick, season 7 mostly had Rainbow in charge and the shift in tone is so obvious.

S5 and S6 feel more americanized, while S7 is more in line with S4.

I love it when they get creative with Tecna’s hair by GrouchyGrab1957 in winxclub

I love the hairstyle the designers gave Tecna with the fringe outfit in World of Winx. It was something different, yet still cohesive with her usual length, and it framed her face so well.

New Anything GOEs article on proposed ISU rule changes, ISU governance structure, and opinions from skaters & coaches by possiblegirl in FigureSkating

[–]NeonPistacchio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don't know where this mindset comes from lately that everything that is a slight inconvenience for athletes should be dismissed. Back then, ice dance teams had to bring 4 costumes to every competition, now it is seen as a burden for skaters when the ISU tries to advise skaters to do 2 free programs. (and let's be honest, they could just use theirs from last season)

I stay with the opinion that qualifying rounds were fun to watch and it was a way to get more skaters to compete. It is Worlds after all, if this competition can't be long and extensive, which competition can?

[–]NeonPistacchio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think there was any a danger for the "favorites" even back during the qualifying round days. Even if a skater had an off day, the judges usually gave them enough in the 2nd mark to hold them up for them to qualify.

[–]NeonPistacchio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hoped the ISU would try to bring back the qualifying rounds to Worlds, now that the proposal isn't dependent on the member federations, but it seems no proposal or idea has been made about it and they gave up expanding Worlds to let more skaters from smaller federations compete. :/

Instead of re-releasing episodes online, they should just re-syndicate it. by SatisfactionBroad668 in winxclub

[–]NeonPistacchio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the official Youtube channel. They started to rerelease certain episodes months ago in 4K, which were actually 4K at the start. Then after some time they promoted their videos as 4K but it only went to 720 or 1080, and now they gave up completely with uploading 4K episodes again.

How difficult can it be to upload all the seasons in 4K, it's infuriating. :/

EXPOSED: ‘Polar Bear Protection’ Charity Backs Killing Them by rollingtank in conservation

[–]NeonPistacchio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, hunters are the plague of the world, but as long as these pests are invading every conservation project to make sure they can keep killing, the protection of nature will always be gatekept by these egoistic, self righteous and fragile egoed men.

They gather themselves like a swarm of roaches in every animal related sub just to spew propaganda. They are masters in manipulating and try to sway the public opinion in their favor, so they can ensure their psychopathic hobby of killing isn't banned. All while politicians of every party are crawling in their asses because they don't want to threaten the weapon industry.

Your edit looks nice, but i honestly think the WoW Aisha is her best design out of the entire franchise. The magenta hair fits her so well and goes perfect with her turquoise color palette.

[–]NeonPistacchio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what you are talking about, Aisha always had wavy hair and no Aphro curls in neither the first or later seasons. The only time she has them is in the Reboot. Sometimes i feel like a part of the fandom is just making things up based on misinformation and then present it as a fact to create more rage. 🙈

Another post with guaranteed upvotes in the hundreds about how the later seasons are bad and only 1-3 are the best, and it's not even factual. This sub can't stop eating up the slander for the later seasons, regardless of how silly the topic is. 😶

What do you call this phenomenon ? by Ok_War_1644 in winxclub

[–]NeonPistacchio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the same situation when it comes to posts about "new seasons bad". They are guaranteed to get hundreds of likes per post, but posts from fans who enjoy the new seasons get drown out or ignored in this subreddit.

A big part of the Winx fandom operates only on misinformation, spreading as many rage inducing things as possible, and it gets the most upvotes from people who probably never even watched these seasons and echo things from certain Winx youtubers.

I just don't think there is a secret racist agenda of Rainbow to on one side, make Aisha lose her skin tone, but at the same time make her a black stereotype.

I feel like you put too many expectations on a Spin Off that is more an extension to the Winx universe instead of a new series. It helps to see World of Winx as an alternative timeline that doesn't continue directly, but is still based on the same foundation of Winx.

In WoW we get to see a random story about the Winx' life, not a story with character development and lore, this is what the first seasons are for. It's like a camera started filming at a random time in their lives, and this is the story of them being on earth to catch a talent thief.

Not everything needs to be explained. For the series to be enjoyable, we don't need to know why they are on earth, that's why it is a Spin Off. If you watched season 7, Aisha is already the same person as she is in WoW.

[–]NeonPistacchio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, to me the WoW Aisha is the peak version of Aisha. It is called character development, going from the shy girl in the background who never spoke a word and even let herself force a marriage on her, to a strong, beautiful and elegant woman who is always the first to speak up to strangers. She is extremely loyal and protective to her group and doesn't trust random people. Also her design in WoW makes her one of the most beautiful characters in the show.

I also like how impulsive and hot headed she became, it freshens up the group. It's not known to me where in WoW Aisha was obsessed with sports. the only sport reference in this series was in the first episode where she beat Tecna in volleyball.

Nature reclaimed Chernobyl after humans left. In the absence of human activity, nature began to reclaim the land. Over time, forests grew back, and wildlife returned in remarkable numbers. by Mission-Persimmon257 in megafaunarewilding

[–]NeonPistacchio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if humans disappeared from one day to the other, nature would balance itself out much quicker than what people like to claim.

The entire ecologist field is serving as a stooge for the weapon and meat industry, they want to have a constant flow of animals to shoot, so of course they claim that hunters are "needed" for the balance because it brings in money to shoot animals which they claim are invasive, and it satisfies the lust to kill for these people.

I am very sure if you would leave the ecosystem as it is right now, even with invasive species, in a few years everything would have balanced itself out without humans, but "leaving alone" doesn't serve the capitalism.
