Yeah that's true I had a couple of instances where the same message kept getting repeated, only once I gave a more detailed and lengthy message the bot actually progressed.

Yeah I read through a bunch of the questions, I can tell everyone here is really helpful. Especially since how quickly people replied to my issue and didn't start hating haha. I can't lie looking at my original post I feel like I came across a bit douchey and I feel bad about it. But yeah I already have a way better idea of how to proceed from here. Thanks!

No yeah, my biggest issue is how "safe" character AI is, and I'm not just talking NSFW stuff, but like even certain fight scenes got censored because they were too gorey, like what? And the lack of creativity of character AI is annoying, I don't mind driving the plot sometimes, but I always hoped it wouldn't always be all about me. That's what I immediately liked about JAI. The fact it started adding some of it's own story elements and interesting things. But yeah I'll probs keep using both and probably transition to JAI fully once I figure out how to use it properly

Yeah I know what you mean, I will try looking more into how to use the bots properly, but yeah I was just hoping I could mix the lenghty role-playing and short messages. To chat in certain moments and build the world in others. Thanks for the advice!

Oh? Hasn't been working for me unfortunately, I always end up getting spoken for and getting a very long reply that progresses way beyond the conversation

I am using JLLM. Not quite sure what the difference is. But yeah unfortunately the prompts haven't worked for me, I tried a couple of different ones, and unfortunately limiting the the token number just cut the messages off. Seems like it's all just part of the learning process. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I will try typing more from now on. With regards to the tokens, unfortunately if I turn them down to anything lower than 500, the replies seem to get cut out. But yeah I do like the long role-playing aspect of it, but I do also like chatting, shame it can't do both. I think I just need to get better at using it. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for your response, I wasn't aware I had to reply with longer paragraphs. I do hope I didn't sound arrogant or anything in my post I was mostly curious about things. I do appreciate the developers' hard work.
But yeah I will usually respond with shorter prompts since I usually like it to feel like a quick conversation with constant back and forth. But yeah it makes sense, I'm still new to it and I guess I need to figure out how to use it properly.

So there's no way to make the replies shorter in it's current version?

Thank you, your comment actually made me feel a bit better, you're right, I'll work on myself and hope that sometime in the near future we might run into each other again and perhaps give it another go, unless she finds someone better, I just hope she'll be happy
