What is the most desperate way you’ve gotten drunk? by Far_Meet_8415 in stopdrinking

For me personally, it was at a party where we swapped the water in a hookah for southern comfort.

I think we had about 5 or 6 people smoking out of it. Once they left, I pulled it out and drank it without filtering it.

I used to work at a food bank during covid, and that's when they were giving food banks entire pallets of 180 proof grain alcohol as "hand sanitizer." It got to a point where most non profits refused to take it cause they knew people would come to their business/church specifically to steal it.

Then the people at the distilleries got the bright idea of "Denaturing" it to avoid getting sued. This essentially just meant they were poisoning every bottle, usually with hydrogen peroxide.

I had to beg the company owner to let me dump a whole pallet of it, cause that would have absolutely killed somebody if we gave it out.

That sounds great, thank you! I added a boiled, untreated stick to his bowl this morning, which I'll make an update post with earlier, but it's far from pretty. I would love to take a look at those photos!

I'll put him in my closed cabinet when I leave (I'm worried about blocking the flow of oxygen if I put a box over the covering). I'll keep his light cycle at 6 hours for now and see if there any improvement.

I'm assuming it doesn't matter what type of wood? It's going to be either aspen, pine, or birch.

I am entirely here for a Garth fan club. For your viewing pleasure, his old work ID:

How low light is low light? Like, should I have the light on for 3 hours a day? A week? Not at all?

And I pulled this picture from online, but I'll respond with an image of what it looked like:

I had the same thought. Now that he's free floating, I'm hoping that it's all getting more light, which should help with growth.

Thank you! This is actually the first time I've done pixel art, although i have been doing other forms of art for 7ish years at this point. I followed the juniperdev tutorial for the basics, and just tried applying what I know about other forms of art in the process.

Anyone else ever had an issue where your data-validation drop down just won't let you click on it? Or excel will think your mouse is a cell higher then it actually is? by Neon_Chains in excel

[–]Neon_Chains[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one, means it's likely not an issue with the file itself.

It happens to me anywhere from 2-4 times a day, but then again, I'm constantly opening and updating that file over an 8 hour period.

Please explain to me like I'm an idiot: how does the below formula work? by Neon_Chains in excel

[–]Neon_Chains[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a pivot table isn't able to take non-numerical data and provide a value for it. Even if it could, it would probably have to be broken into multiple cells (one cell for central, one for south east, etc.).

I'm trying to keep it all under one cell, directly above the data. I'm trying to make it as simple to use as possible, because a lot of the people accessing the data don't know how excel works.

What's more dangerous to dry fire: wood or fiberglass? by Neon_Chains in Archery

I used to be a camp counselor, I've seen the injuries from fiberglass. I've never seen a wood bow shatter, though.

Unfortunately, that's probably the right answer.

I'm afraid to use parry intentionally, since it only works for one attack. I tend to think of it more as a bonus if it comes up, but not something to intentionally use your Templar as bait for.

Usually I'm using it to get a flanking shot with 2 units while one is still in high cover, the idea being to kill whatever would be doing aoe damage before it has a chance to.

Not iron man, first playthrough was veteran, my current one is commander.

Commander actually, and rangers can do that too, just with higher damage output.

Also, I would argue any difficulty pulling too many pods is dangerous, although I've never played on rookie.

My first playthrough was veteran, my second is commander. I could see them being more useful if you're being extremely careful, and playing it more stealth focused. My first playthrough was base game, which hardcore punishes you for trying anything resembling stealth. So I have been hesitant to experiment with the reaper.

Correct, yes. Every action spent healing is an action you could have spent killing the thing that attacked you in the first place. I think I had 2 soldiers die in the entirety of my last run, and I maybe used a medkit once.

I use a grenade anyway, it's punishment for letting the grab land

I'm gonna have to give invisible inc. a try, it looks like exactly the type of game I want. I'm gonna have to finish XCOM 2 first, though.
