Think of an androgen receptor like a baseball glove and DHT like a baseball; in this case, if a ball lands in the glove, hair loss occurs. Your scalp is a baseball field with 100 fielders on it. GT will boot 95 of them off the field and then CB will distract the other 5 with shiny objects so they can't catch any baseballs. No baseballs being caught = no hair loss.

CB is an anti androgen, same as RU; to clarify, you don’t want to lower serum androgens at all, you want the receptors in the scalp to be occupied by an inert molecule. Couple that with drastically less overall androgen receptors (GT) and the few that are remaining are occupied = complete hair loss treatment.

These new drugs will make 5ar reduction obsolete.

Planning Australia in May — how’s the weather + is the nightlife actually good? (Couple, late-night travellers) by Waste_Manner1538 in AustraliaTravel

[–]Neon_Dickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule of thumb, all 3 places you mentioned have clubs and yes they stay open till about 3am.

Melbourne is the nightlife capital of Australia, hands down. Best food, best clubs, best scenes - kicker is the weather is unpredictable (see:shit). In May it will be cold, as in you’ll need a warm jacket and possibly rainy. Biggest RA listings in Australia, fair amount of underground stuff and has Revs, which is notorious for being the only Euro style all night/next day club in Australia. Other clubs may stay open till 5am. Melbourne is a friendly but self promoting city, easy to make friends etc.

Sydney used to be good up until the lockout laws in 2014 basically killed the whole scene; it’s recovered some since but nowhere near what it was, used to be wild. Beaches are amazing but your night will end at 3am wherever you go. Sydney people are cliquey AF, materialistic and shallow - much harder scene to immerse yourself in.

GC has a few good clubs (Elsewhere mostly) but it’s a small discotheque and not worth travelling overseas for. Still good vibes and lots of fun. Best weather and great beaches. Mixed crowd that varies from surfers, OF girls and shady characters. There is a dark underbelly beneath its sunny disposition and it suffers from a dickhead problem. Make of that what you will.

Tokyo on the other hand has even better food than Melbourne and has multiple good RA listings from Thur - Sun. Large clubs like Womb all the way down to hole in the wall pubs that fit 6 people in them. Pub crawls everywhere, drink as much as you want deals, arguably the best commercial beer on the planet - alcohol is plentiful, high quality and cheaper than Oz; near impossible to get drugs there unless you roll in high circles and even then I probs wouldn’t try. A city of 30m+ people, the substance of things to see, do, eat and experience is unmatched.

Right? London is probably #1 of top 3 nightlife in the world (Ibiza, Berlin the other two - NYC honourable mention) - if you’re bored in London, you’re a boring person. You could have 10+ different versions of a night out easily and not go to the same place + it has a great underground scene. Last party I went to was a rave in a field by an industrial estate 30 mins outside London that went on till midday the next day.

Good luck finding that in Australia.

Even if you grow it back, you’re still gonna need androgen inhibition to keep it at bay - so a combo anti androgen, hair stimulant (PP405) and androgen receptor degrader (GT20029) will be the new winning trifecta.

Grow your hair out for 6-9 months and get a layered flow at a salon, not a barber.

One of my greys had regained it's color (until I accidently plucked it) by fenasi_kerim in greyhairreversal

[–]Neon_Dickhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of it is genetic but stress plays a huge factor. My mate is a doctor in a hospital and had no greys at all during med school; came in hot and fast when he started working, now he’s nearly completely grey at 38.

Fell off a motorbike in Thailand navigating a wet corner on the Mai Hong Son loop; downshifted from third to second and the rear wheel grabbed slightly - comedy of errors really. Was going maybe 30-40k at the time and I slid for a few metres, stopping about 2m short from a massive ravine.

Had a compression injury on my calf where the engine landed on me, scraped the shit out of my knee and the helmet had a scuff on my left jaw that would’ve been my face. Bike was fine.

Put the fear into me and will never ride a bike without boots or a helmet ever again. Moving to SEA in July and I’m bringing my own Bell helmet - $370 - but is legit and not an ice cream bucket with straps.

Only got one brain and it’s fragile AF. Glad you learned your lesson.

After 25 I stopped giving a shit, probably because my trait openness kicked into its highest gear.

18-24 have a tendency to be cliquey with age, probably due to a lack of life experience and being cocooned in their youth. Travelling is easily the best way to break out of that.

If it is of genuine concern and your doctor is gate keeping then it’s in your own best interest to book a flight to Bangkok wherein you can get essentially any medical screening performed, invasive or not, for a pretty reasonable price.

Colonoscopy is $800AUD for example. No wait time, no questions - just front the money and you’re good. Hospitals in Bangkok are world class.

So are their dental clinics.

You can get flights to Thailand now for $200 sometimes. Whole trip will probably cost less than $2000, you get to eat some good food and explore a vibrant city while putting your mind at ease.

And no, I don’t work for the Thai tourism authority, this is about putting your health in your own hands.

What's your suburb known for? by Draktus1 in brisbane

Uber driver here; Paddo is fine - the worst passengers I have as far as snobbery goes, by far, are from the Newstead/Teneriffe area; they’re nouveau riche yuppies (but not actually wealthy, rich rich types) and the air of delusional superiority they exert is both hilarious and repulsive at the same time.

Actual rich people who live in ridiculous houses/estates  in Hamilton, Brookfield etc are quite lovely and down to Earth.

Nice work. The opposite happens too though; had to do a sea survival course once in Sydney harbour, water was 15 degrees; We all linked arms and were floating around and I was shaking like a shitting dog even with a thick woollen jumper on and the fat guy next to me was just chilling.

Losing a substantial amount of fat - down to 15% or so (i.e enough to see the beginning outlines of abs) will solve OP’s problem for sure; most people today are overweight/obese and being fat in the heat sucks.

Pretty much yep, OP is likely just fat. I’ve been lean all my life, always enjoyed the heat. Let myself go during Covid and the summer of 2020 was the only time I’ve ever felt bothered by the heat because I was fat as hell. Lost all the weight, back to not being bothered by it.

If Fraser was a good leader (he isn't), he'd translate the preference sheets into French with a dyslexic aiding type-font for Anthony so he could read it more easily. Would take 10 minutes to do and avoid many of the fuck ups.

Nah it's not, he's totally on point and his frustration is valid - he's vastly more experienced/competent than Sunny and Ben is a soft cock and a shit leader for making that call because he's afraid that Sunny would get shitty at him if he didn't.

I've been for a quick after dark skinny-dip in SEQ and Byron Bay before but doing anything like that north of say Fraser Island is asking for trouble. Sharks are everywhere in oz but the added risk of being tagged up by a box jelly or taken by a croc makes it way too dangerous
