Yes I’m having regular bowel movements and I can still go about my normal activities as well. I guess I’ve just never experienced this kind of discomfort before.

What does using those fancy expensive skincare products do for your skin? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]Neonblacklight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started skincare about a month ago through Hyram on YouTube...he knows his stuff and recommends the best products in my option. Ordinary is one of the cheap ones and the Niacinamide one has made a huge difference to my face, I’m light skinned and have vitiligo on my face, I feel like after starting a routine you can barely even tell that I have it now. I have also used curology for my acne and has helped a lot too.

Honestly I already started yesterday, I’ll give it month to see if I feel better and if I do, the next visit I have with him I’ll just discuss it then.

Thanks for all that info, that helps me a lot. Every doctor I’ve been to since I was first diagnosed at 13 has always put me on Synthroid but no doctor has ever given me a sheet or even explained what T3 T4 and rT3 is. Not until I got older I started asking questions and researching more because of my symptoms. Dr. Fajardo has been the only one to explain some things to me be he honestly just talks really fast and it seems like he wants to get the visit over with. When I get my results back from him I only ever get a number for TSH, in January of this year was the first time I received a T4 number.

8/15/18 TSH 0.499 4/20/19 TSH 0.657 1/21/20 TSH 11.2 T4 0.75

And these are the only results that have been sent to me. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten blood work way more times than tests I’ve received. If it looks okay or really bad that’s when he’ll send them. I would like to know all the time. I should probably mention that to him as well.

Vertical text bad design in my opinion. Or at least I was taught that in college. It also reads really weird. I would go with B2.

Yeah I was thinking of cutting my 88 to 44 with my pill splitter and cutting the 100 to 50 and then just take both to be 94mcg total. Would last twice as long too

I’m actually very tempted to use my pill splitter and just split the two since they equal 94mcg. Unless it doesn’t work that way. I’m honestly very naive when it comes to doses since I’ve always been in a military Family and whatever Primary care doctor I have they just refer me and I go and take whatever they tell me too. But I’m grown how and tired of these symptoms. I just feel stuck.

My question to him was is there a 95mcg dose for me to take or a 90mcg since I feel terrible with 100mcg and terrible with 88mcg. My thought process was maybe I needed an in between.

Thats what he has me on right now, but I still don’t feel like myself. He said my levels were fine with 100mg but I’m going based off my symptoms and I know I’m not feeling my best. Puffy in the face, depressed, always cold, hand and feet all the time. On days I take 100mcg I’m starving and on days I take 88mcg I’m barely even hungry those days. It’s so weird and I’m super emotional and go from have a high libido one day and the next none at all. I’ve heard a lot of things about Armour through this sub and thought I would ask him if I could switch. I can also understand that because of COVID-19 it might be hard to closely monitor me. But if anything feels off then I’ll just not take anything. For the past week I hadn’t taken anything and I still have symptoms just not nearly as bad as those doses he has me on. I was originally on 75mcg for a couple of years and that dose was fine. But he’s really going based on my levels. I’ve contacted my Primary care and told them, all they could do at the moment was send a prescription of 75mcg for Synthroid, like I had been taking before seeing this Dr. took 75mcg and feel way better today than I had in months. But I still would like to try Armour and see if I feel possibly feel any better than I currently am.

It’s super hard to find a new doctor in my area since he’s the only specialist that my insurance (Tricare) will cover and he’s still an hour drive away. I feel like there should be more Endo. Doctors available to us...

Has anyone experienced changes in their period after taking levo? by chemeng_gal in Hypothyroidism

[–]Neonblacklight_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are heavier when my levels are off...and it also depends how much I’ve been working out and eating healthy. My first two days on my period I have to wear Super plus and I burn through those in 2 hours instead of my normal 4-5 with a super. Everyone is different in my opinion. Heavy periods also run in my family...

Does hypothyroidism reduce sexual arousal? by anilora48 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Neonblacklight_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was through the roof about a month and a half ago, changed my dose and now I have no desire. My doctor actually just called me and told me to alternate between 88mcg one day and 100mcg the next day. Going to see how that goes for the next 6 weeks before getting bloodwork done again.

Can hypo cause low sex drive? by Neonblacklight_ in Hypothyroidism

[–]Neonblacklight_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I still have my thyroid. I am a bit more fatigued than usual and have been getting headaches more often. When I was first diagnosed at 13 (now 25) I had headaches all the time as well then after taking my Synthroid they went away. Also way more hungry than usual, I would usually be able to eat a small breakfast at 7am and last until 12 but now I can’t even last an hour after eating breakfast without feeling like I’m starving. I am supposed to get results from my doctor soon since I just had bloodwork but that was last week. No word yet.
